I watched a video of things i never did in ff6:

1:use dragonhorn boots with pearl spear.

I don't know why,i just never used it at all.

2:In a youtube video,i saw someone use cleave ability from cyan's ability to insta kill enemies who are vulnerable.

I usually just use quadra slice and kill everything, but this seems very nice.

3:Using shields to get spells:

I actually never thought about it that you could learn Bolt2/Ice2 from a shield.

4:illumina's high evade rate:

I saw a guy equip celes with high evade equip and i was like:WOW!! thats some nice evade she has, plus:I think it has some sort of spell effect like flare or pearl i think.

Anyways,i was watching and i was like:Now i feel like replaying ff6 again.

So many stuff to do and so many equip you can get in the arena, but well:i always get em anyways.

Thing is:I love magic and i usually go full magic on chars but its not that interesting for me anymore.

Things i hardly ever use:

Gem box:I don't know why,but i hardly ever use it.
I guess i figure that with ultima you kill everything so fast that its not really necessary.

That item that allows you to hit 4 times:I got it but i rarely use cause i use magic a lot.

Watching those new strategies just made me feel like trying something new.

Locke with the Genji Glove and Offering (GBA: Master's Scroll), equipped with a pair of Wing Edges. Eight long-range attacks with high attack power, each attack capable of inflicting instant death, plus the Wing Edges' stat boosts give him a little extra edge.

Cleave/Oblivion takes a ridiculously long time to charge, during which you cannot give commands to other party members (who all will without fail fill their ATB meters at least once and maybe twice during the charge time). There are two ways to mitigate SwordTech's/Bushido charging:
- Have one party member cast a spell with a long casting animation, then have the other party members act before Cyan. This will give him enough time to charge up to Levels 4-6 (including the all-striking, all-Stop-inflicting Stunner/Eclipse).
- Have Cyan cast Quick, which gives him two turns during which ATB stops for all other characters. This allows him to charge up for Cleave/Oblivion without danger or stalling the rest of the party.

The Fire/Ice/Thunder Shields, when used in conjunction with Magicite that teaches the same magic, can make learning the second-tier spells faster (both magic rates stack). Also, if you don't take the Ragnarok Magicite (which is necessary if you want to obtain the sword Ragnarok to bet for the Illumina/Lightbringer), uncursing the Cursed Shield (by having it equipped for 256 battles) and equipping the Paladin Shield is the only way to learn the Ultima spell.

Lastly (for now), one very underrated special ability is Edgar's Debiliator, which gives the enemy a random elemental weakness with an 100% chance of success. The right element will make normally-tough bosses a cakewalk--the Debiliator even works against superbosses and the final boss. Even if the element chosen is less-than-perfect, just use the Debiliator again.

I saw someone make everyone attack or jump while cyan was charging cleave.

And yeah:he used that winged edge while using offering for multiple attacks.

I also heard about some sort of item that makes gau ridiculously overpowered:that so called item that allows you to equip any armor or use any weapon.

You could technically do this to gogo too.

I always loved using ragnarok to gain elixirs in the tower of fanatics.

ragnarok+magic urns=i think megaelixirs?

Oh yeah i forgot another cheap cheat i saw:

self phantom+berserk on dragons=uber god mode that is undefeatable.

Plus:mt zozo is supposedly 100% melee attackers so you can go through easily with invisibility status, only the dragon has magic.

Hmm Which FF6 are you playing though? The one on the PS or the one on the GBA.

If its on the GBA, then there is a way to get as many Ragnaroks and ultima weapons as you want.

When your at the final battle with Kefka, you'll end up on Tier 3, which is a woman and a face. Steal from both of them and woo, ya got yourself some of the OP weapons.

And since its that one your playing, after the credits you can save, and presto you'll have everything you had after you beat Kefka

My main tactic was equip everyone with wall rings and cure rings for regen), and cast all my offensive spells on my party, hitting the L button so it hits all four, reflects on the enemies for 9999x4. ANd then now you can't do that in a newer version, haha.

I usually used stuff like Gem box and the one that halves MP conjunction together as a rule. I never played with good weapon/equipment combos, as sad as that sounds.

You can actually get economizers from Brachiosaur (not sure what either is named in the GBA version). They drop MP use to 1.

If you don't have those, I just learned that Osmose is extremely useful. If the enemy has enough MP, even if you're down to 1, it'll refill your MP completely. Shiva teaches it, so from the Magitek Facility onward the game ought to be pretty easy.

DId you know that umaro can attack in the tower of fanatics?

I always use umaro because he is the only character who pases the magic limitation and melees everyone to death and kills them really fast.

I think,it is the only time i use him.

Also:I don't use dances as much in world of ruins, but i suppose its pretty darn good since it has all sorts of good stuff which is nice.

The Economizer is called Celestriad in the GBA version.

Oh yeah, its true that some of the dances cannot be acquired in the world of ruin like:River dance that you get by going with mog on a raft and killing an enemy there.

This also gives access to a rage i love:Pteradon:

Pteradon casts fireball i believe its called and it does pretty good damage in world of balance.

Another really good rage:Stray cat which has catscratch.

I like the wooly mammoths a lot because of blizzard spell.

I think toecutters were pretty good but i can't remember and i hear that srbehemoths are quite good as a rage.

I recall using cyan for killing the real sigfried which is called siegfried and not ziegfried i believe,or something like that.

You would need to be VERY VERY POWERFULL!! his shockwave attack does 6000 dmg to you.
