As if "Final Fantasy Ten Two" wasn't enough naming silliness.
Then again, Nintendo has been giving them competition with "Super Mario 64 DS". -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Smash, I don't want to be rude here, but I'm really trying to keep the forums running here, and part of that is being able to post news so that everyone can read it and want to comment, which is why we have a news section. I can understand if you don't have the time, desire, or ability to write a full news post about stuff like this that you find, but you can feel free to let someone know who will go to the trouble.
Now, as to the actual topic, I'm a bit surprised to see that there's a western release date already, and even more surprised that it will have a playable version at Comic-Con. Heck, I didn't even know that companies used Comic-Con as a platform for new announcements and demos. I'd kind of planned on ignoring that con entirely, but maybe I'll flip on the TV at some point, now, even though I probably won't get this game for a very long time. I should also note that this is the first time I've seen anyone from Squenix in the States tweet something actually about a game! -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Oh, my bad! I'm really, really sorry. You're not being rude, I shoulda cleared it with you, seeing as how much I've been doing this lately. I'll let you guys know from now on.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Unless you want me to start writing news posts. Hey, a boy can dream, amirite? EDIT: Oh god, I didn't even NOTICE that anyone could do full news posts. I thought you had to be a mod or admin. Well, that settles it, I suppose! Quote (Smash Genesis @ 19th July 2011 19:14) Oh god, I didn't even NOTICE that anyone could do full news posts. I thought you had to be a mod or admin. Well, that settles it, I suppose! Yep, anyone can submit a newspost, which is then approved by an admin. So if you see something newsworthy like this and want to post it accordingly, just write something up a bit more news-like and post it that way. As for the release of FFXIII-2, I'm surprised that it's coming up so soon; when they announced that the release was being pushed from late 2011 to early 2012, I underestimated how early they were shooting for. I'm also surprised that Comic-Con is being used for something like this, but I've heard that FFXIII-2 won't be the only game getting attention there. Let's hope that January means early January, so that I can get my hands on this before classes start up again! -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 20th July 2011 19:12) Isn't Comic-Con where other games, though usually indie games, have been announced? ...No. Comic-Con is much more movie-centric and multimedia than game related. I'd be shocked if there was a major game announcement there. The biggest gaming trade shows where you might hear announcements are E3, GDC, and TGS. PAX is becoming a major player as well. Outside of those four, you should look to individual companies' events, such as Nintendo's annual press conference, Capcom's CAPtivate, or Blizzard's BlizzCon. JUMP Festa is a manga event sponsored by one of the big manga publishers, but Square-Enix and Bandai Namco also have a major presence there and might announce games there, as they're Jump's biggest sponsors. -------------------- |
