So, I've played V through XIII, (Not including XI. Not my thing. Nor shall it ever be.) but the first four are giving me issues. Does anyone know where to get I-III? Also, do any of you have suggestions for what the best version of IV to play would be, or does it matter? (I have the ability to play anything except snes)

The GBA version has serious issues with the active time battle system. I haven't played the DS port. I think I might recommend using an emulator to play the SNES version.

The PSP remake of FFI is great. It has updated graphics, but has the same gameplay system.

Im partial to my PS1 versions. Im guessing you are already playing some of the PS1 games anyhow, may as well play the rest on there.
3, in any legitimate translated version however, is only on the DS. You may want to go that route too. |

The Dawn of Souls version of FF1 on GBA is okay, and it also comes with FF2, but like Insegredious and BlitzSage said, the PSP remake is much better. Ditto for the PSP version of FF2. The FF3 remake on DS is the only readily available version of that game, and it's pretty good. With FF4, I'd recommend playing the GBA version or the PSP version that comes out today.
As for where to find them, I've seen the PSP version of FF1 at Best Buy and Game Stop. I also got my copy of FF3DS at Best Buy. The PSP version of FF2 was harder to find. I had to order my copy from Amazon. I found FF4 Advance in the used GBA game section at Game Stop, but you'll probably be able to find the PSP version at any store that sells video games, since it's a new release. As FFIV is the only one of these I've played, I'll suggest going with the PSX release Final Fantasy Chronicles. You'll get Chrono Trigger with it, which is a lovely bonus. I played FFIV on the GBA as well, though, and I have no complaints about that release.

Thanks Blinge, and again, thanks for all the help. I'll look for chronicles though, since I've been looking for Chrono as well. I just hope the re-releases aren't too much easier than the originals. (Terrible Star Ocean PSP flashbacks...)
