In the WoR you have to go to FIgaro when it's over by Narshe and go downstairs and make it sink and go under the ground towards Kohligen ( i think that's it).  En route you'll bump into old ruins and have caves and such to explore. Make your way through the caves and grab all the treasures, one of them you find will be a Monster in a Box and you'll fight KatanaSoul. After that battle you get the Offering.

edit: fixed boss mistake

sweet thx guys i am nearly up to that bit infact however i have the psx version of ff6 and i am worried should i take the ragnarok sword and cursed shield and fight 255 battles that way i can get the illumina sword and ultima. But i think it will take 2 long with the loading times on the psx version. What do u guys think should i take the esper ragnarok or do i even have to fight 255 battle in the psx version to convert the cursed shield into a palladin shield?

I think the shield still does take 255 battles, it has to do with the size of data clusters, and that number only takes one, no more no less .

I always take the esper, it benefits all your party and you get ultima from it withou wasting your time doing the battles, I should probbaly note I don't like senseless random battles... Haha.

256.  255 to fill the counter, one to overflow and uncurse.

Since almost everything else is the same in the PS version, one would think this is no different since IIRC it should be faster to branch on overflow than to compare and then branch.

Well it's alot easier to win with raganarok espe because you learn ultima quickly.  But if you play on getting the paladina shield just get raganorok the sword.
