I'm gonna agree with the FFVI Cid's raincoat. That's pretty darn ugly, not to mention impractical. What was he hiding under there, anyway? ...On second thought, maybe I don't want to know...
I am also perpetually amused by Butz's Mediator costume in FFV. I mean...a sheep? The hell??! Come to think of it, all the Mediator costumes were pretty stupid (and this is from someone who loves the Mediator class to distraction), except for Lenna's. Hers was cute. |

worst dressed....i vote for cid(6), kefka, and kuja. i think cid is waiting for a flood or something and theres something about kuja's and kefka's wardrobe that disturbes me. im gonaa go a little off topic to comment on some past posts. sorry to say this girls, but video games are marketed to young men and boys. the reason why most female characters are dressed in outfits that are skimpy and tight because marketers know that guys think with thier heads and not with the one on thier shoulders. i should know, im a guy.

beth -- not to spark another debate, but come on, when have FF girls EVER dressed in battle-appropriate dress? rydia's lil green robes couldn't possibly provide any more practical protection than yuna's ffx-2 gunner (default) outfit, and aerith, while being fully clothed, would seem to be dressed LESS practically than x-2's rikku's theif outfit, being restricted by that ridiculous dress and less able to evade enemy attacks (yes, we can get into the mage/robe thing here, but that's thrown out the window in the more recent ff's, where every character can use magic). your "practicality" argument doesn't really hold any water unless you expect every female character to be clothed in full body armour. and that isn't very appealing, is it? again, not to throw a gas can in the fire, but let square market to their audience. as long as it's not pornographic, i'm all for it. welcome to non-american openness to sexuality (in fact, i expect that the mt gagazet scene will be altered in the american release...). males like good-looking females, and less-dressed good-looking females are even better.
![]() now, to get to the on-topic part of this post. ffiv's main offender would have to be zemus. what, is he straight from the circus or something? in-party, i'd have to say edward, or maybe cid. that helmet was ridiculous, ne? ffv had so many costmes i don't really remember what was the worst! but i'll have to go with blue mage. i know at least one person's blue mage wore one of those mask things that you see as old-skool masquerades from like 1700's france. gimme a break. -.- ffvi? the obvious choice is kekfa, however, i feel that relm's hideous little getup is even worse than kefka's zemus-inspired garbage. come on, 100% red has never worked and it never will. ffvii -- honestly, i think all the characters had cool outfits (esp the turks ![]() ffviii - selphie's yellow gets a little annoying at times, but what the hell is with edea? yeah, it's sinister, but who would wear that thing on the back? ffix's characters all look pretty dumb to me because of the stupid proportions. as far as outfits are concerned, though, zidane and kuja take the cake for dancing on the sexual-preference tightrope. quina gets honorable mention. who the hell invited amano back? ffx's outfits are all really cool too...but braska seems to have the same issues with proper headgear that plagued edea from ffviii. w/e. oh, and the al bhed suck. ffx-2? where to start...aniki and the albhed, i guess. and leblanc. that's really going too far. to comment on gozaru's post. i dissagree with your opinion of zidane but totally agree with yours of kuja. for those of us who have played and beaten 9
Possible spoilers: highlight to view zidane and garrnet had secret crushes on each other and pretended not to like each other untill the end in the very rewarding end video zidane reveles that he is still alive and from what i gathered, zidane and garrnet hooked up. lace and ruffels were popular among STRAIT men of the 15-18 centuries, so there ![]() This post has been edited by ramza_beoulve on 13th September 2003 17:57 -------------------- A hero is somone who steps up when everyone else backs down.
