I'm not trying to make a perfect chocobo, but let's say i'm not satisfied with the stats of my gold chocobo and I want a better one (faster, more stamina whatever, intelligence doesn't matter to much that much)
I was messing with Jenova character editor and on my old file, I had chocobos with 118 ish speed. (after feeding)- this was for my good, great, green, blue chocobos

wheveras my new file I had 94 speed on green, blue, great, and 95speed on good chocobo. (after feeding, except I didn't feed and I didn't race the good chocobo)

The major difference I had is that in my old file, I got both good and great chocobos to A grade after feeding whereas in my new file I only fed one and brough to A grade the other chocobo was C grade and was not fed any greens.
also I didn't "perfectly" feed my A grade chocobo, meaning I could still feed him/her to increase his stats (mostly stamina)

Could it be that the parents stats pass down to next generation?
And would it matter whether the parents were fed with greens or not before mating?

I do feel like my chocobos are slower than my old file and it's hard to win chocobo races like long time ago and wanted a faster chocobo...Yes I am holding down R1,R2 during race.

What are the factors that effect a newborn chocobo's stats?
-Grade? (S,A,B,C)
-The parent chocobo's stats? (it's current stats or it's natural stats aka max stats after it's fed)
-randomness?

edit1: the numbers for speed I gave was incorrect, the difference is less, but either way I was able to win S grade races with my old file, but It really hard in my new file

This is all just as far as I remember, there probably will be gaps. Stats do pass between chocobos and as long as you feed a Zeio Nut the kids will be higher than the parents. Speed and Stamina is not the only stats though. If you get Choco Billy or whatever he's called to 'Rate' your chocobo you'll get a better assessment. Wonderful chocobos have better stats so you'll want to breed your golds whilst making sure all the babies are Wonderful as well. Zeio Nuts will make two golds give birth to another gold. Basically, it does matter about the class and the stats so keep training before mating, but also remember to retain your Wonderfuls and check their full stats by talking to Billy.

i havent tried it but try mating 2 gold chocobos that are s rank and maxed out stats i think that would be the only possible way to get anything better than a gold chocobo
