who else thinks they should just quit making all the filler stories and go to kh3 ive been waiting since i beat kh2 and its set up just so they can make another.

i mean 358, re:coded, and bbs are all great games but i really wanna play it though im happy theve been waiting so long because the excitment has been building

but anyways i want anyone else to say why they think kh3 should come out or why it shouldnt

while i do agree with you that a full console sequel should come out, i have enjoyed at least one of the filler stories quite a bit. i really think that birth by sleep is the best kingdom hearts game. the first was good, second was alright, the nintendo ones were mediocre but bbs was a fantastic game.

Yes ! Enough of the silly sequels and prequels already ! It's been almost six years since Kingdom Hearts 2 came out. It's been so long and it makes you wonder why SE are holding it down for other projects, (like FF 13-2 )
Hopefully they'll announce it sometime this year, or next.

Really? I didn't even think they should have made the second game... Now its too late, but Kingdom Hearts always been the kind of franchise made exclusively for money earning (still, I liked those I played, specially the first one), so the sequels, prequels are just a symptom of that (just like the compilation of FFVII)

I would prefer a full sequel for a console than portable games, since portable platforms often have reduced possibilities to expand the storytelling other than multiplayer or some kind of pokemon-like trading system... What I mean is: making of BBS (or the ds title, which I forgot) such a great project on the psp seems like a waste of potential.

I'd say that every game ever released on a major system (e.g. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft) was made exclusively for money earning.

Even though I'm not exactly a fan of Kingdom Hearts (liked the first one okay, did not like KH2 one bit), I understand the frustration. My guess is they're looking for the right timing. Right now Nomura and his team are working on FF Versus XIII, and presumably have been for a couple of years at least. Wait for Versus to drop, and a few months after that you'll see the KH3 news start to trickle out. It could be for the next generation of consoles.

The only Kingdom Hearts games I've played are KH1 and Chain of Memories, but seeing how many filler ones there are, I wouldn't mind KH3.

I REALLY want some more pre-FFVII characters, though. Kefka and Gilgamesh would make AWESOME antagonists. I'm a tad irked that there's already a character named Terra, as I'm willing to bet cash money that they'll never include the FFVI character of the same name.
