I'm just curious to see what strategies and combinations of jobs and abilities everyone liked to use for the endgame (and Sealed Temple for FFVA).
For me, it was: Bartz - Freelancer !Spellblade !Rapid Fire (Latent Dual-Wield) Lenna - Mime !Time !Summon !Dualcast Krile - Mime !White !Black !Dualcast Faris - Mime !Blue !Finisher !Combine (I LOVE Needle Cannon) (Latent Dual-Wield for whenever Finisher got me a Critical Hit; also, I substituted !Dark Arts for !Finisher or !Combine from time to time, depending on the situation or my mood) The order of play for my party was Bartz, Faris, Lenna, Krile, so I always had the exact same order of doing things for tough battles:
...then just kill things as per usual. -------------------- |

Bartz: bare - with $toss and !blue
Reina: mime - with $toss and !summon and !item Krile: mime - with !white and !time Faris: mime - with !throw and !toss and !item The strategy was very simple, buff up my defenses with white/blue magic, speed everyone up with time magic, then beat the crap out of ExDeath with $toss. Bartz would use it then the girls would mime it, if needed, I'd summon stuff if the chain was broken or use white magic to heal. ExDeath went down without any trouble, due to $throw being one of the most broken things in existence. For the end of the game, typically I just used the Sshot + !sword abilities, especially to beat Omega. I never played the Gameboy Advance version, so I'm talking about the PlayStation game. The first looks a lot like my usual get-up, though I always go with Freelancers and never with Mimes. The added benefits of the Ribbon and broader weapon selection seems to outweigh the benefits of a third selectable ability.
Bartz: !Rapid Fire !Spellblade 6 (several inherent abilities including Dual Wield) Lenna: !Mix !White/!Time Cara: !Mix !White/!Time Faris: !Finisher/!Blue/!Combine/Read Ahead !Finisher/!Blue/!Combine/Read Ahead -------------------- |

Quote (Djibriel @ 24th December 2010 19:45) The added benefits of the Ribbon and broader weapon selection seems to outweigh the benefits of a third selectable ability. I actually equipped Gold Hairpins on Lenna & Krile, since they were the big spellcasters, and since they never physically attacked (unless I got lazy and had them mimic Faris's Finisher), the reduced weapons selection never bothered me. Quote (several inherent abilities including Dual Wield) I believe I had my Bartz master virtually every physical job, so I had a ton of inherent abilities (Cover, Counter, yadda yadda yadda), but I didn't want to list them all, since I can barely remember all of them, and Dual Wield was really the only one critical to the strategy.
