This is probably the wrong place to put this, but as you can see this is my first post, and I dont know where this is really applicable in this forum, but here it goes:

Every time I try to run JCOM it comes up with an error:

Component 'MSCOMM32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

What file is missing?

Admins, if there is more of a correct place, move it there, sorry for the inconvienience.

I've never used it, sorry. However, I did download it and look at the readme, where it says this:

If you have not allready done so, download and install the latest
version of Runtimer from the JCOM website as this will contain all the
needed files to run JCOM - SPC and any other Visual Basic programme
downloaded from the site.  To install JCOM - SPC just unzip the archive to a folder and run JCOM - SPC by double clicking its icon.  After the breif intro screen you will be asked to configure JCOM - SPC and if you want to associate SPC files with JCOM - SPC.

Which led me to find http://jcom.shorturl.com/ which has the file it's talking about. Does it work? I don't have any idea, but if you need that player I'd say it's probably your best bet.
