This may have already been covered somewhere else on this site, but I havent seen it, and I'm on here ALOT.

I noticed once when I was exiting the gold saucer station square, going out to the trolley and the dancing chocobo guy, that there was a man standing off to the corner, on the opposite side of where you come out of the trolley, near the three lights in a row.

He says he will sell you 1 GP for 100 gil, but he goes by tens, therefore, selling you 10 GP for 1000 gil. He will only let you buy 100 GP.

He's not there everytime, but if you enter and exit the station square over and over again, he will eventually appear.

Very random, and personally, I noticed that the more GP I already had, the less likely he was to appear. I could be wrong, and it's all random - but that's the way it seemed to me.

Well I've done it alot lately and I was up to about 2000 GP, I've seen him there one time, I'll buy from him, Re-enter the Square, and come back out, and he'll be there again. I think it's totally random, but seldom is he ever there twice in a row.
