Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 13th April 2011 21:55) Some people would complain about this since Relm's base magic power is already the highest. True but no one ever uses sketch anyways. i think if she had control as a initial abillity people may be more inclined to use it thus having her cast magic at a lesser amount. |

In my opinion, giving Relm X-magic is a bad idea. Not only does she have a higher base magic stat than the other characters, it also makes her magic power scale twice as fast as other characters. While Terra and Strago may level off with their opponents by level 80, Relm will effectively be wreaking havoc. It will almost be pointless to use anyone else. You could make it work, I suppose, if x-magic made her magic much weaker. Then her only advantage is versatility in spells, countered by having to pay for the two spells she is casting.
I also think Setzer should be more in line with his original character. Perhaps give him a wider array of available weapons, or increase the odds of landing better slots. Even better, perhaps raise the effectiveness of the ability that fires when he doesn't match any slots. What I would like to personally see: More weapons with the Swordtech flag! I love to use Gogo, and nothing is more awesome than the masked maurader wrecking havoc with a sword. But so few weapons in the game are both useable by Gogo while letting him use swordtech. Also: let Gogo equip Espers for Stat Bonuses! Perhaps an alternative could be items that grant stat bonuses, but I have a sneaking suspicion that such a thing may not be possible. |

Again, many of these suggestions are already in my hack.
A big thing to consider is that I have changed stats accordingly to balance things, so the hero's original stats aren't the same in my version. Relm is balanced because although she deals 2x magic damage, she has very low comparable defense, which cripples her chance of being competitive in boss fights. This difference is very big when reaching the higher levels of defense, i.e. 180-255. In my version she is powerful but really very hard to handle because you must sacrifice firepower items for defense items, and she still dies often. Setzer can use every weapon and has Jump instead of the unstrategic slot skill. More weapons definitely do have the SwdTech flag, as I was also frustrated by this. Gogo can use much more weapons also, so he can use SwdTech with many options, although not as much as Cyan. I have not yet learned how to make Gogo have esper bonuses, and because of that he has very powerful starting stats. It is not possible to get him until level 50 unless you run straight to him. His stats are not too good and are great at first, but every other character can have better stats in one area if they specialize. In the end, I wouldn't give him esper bonuses and would keep him this way, simply because he can choose any skill, and with such better options, he doesn't deserve equal firepower as the others. His dodging and defense skills are very nice, though, and maybe unmatched. For anyone running to get my version (yeah, right) hold on until tomorrow as I plan on uploading a pretty significant update. |

I've released a new version with some big updates. The big thing is that patches for all types of ROMs are available. Previous updates have also fixed things which may have turned off players before, such as a problem with Ultros and Ghost Train doing more damage than they did when I playtested it.
Highlights of the new version: Even better AI scripts for some WoR monsters/bosses Mog's dances changed so that new dances are learned later on and are very powerful Terra's morph can last forever, does 2x damage for all attacks, but makes her take 2x damage all the time also |

^ So does this mean that Terra's gauge never changes to that green bar, and thus her time bar actually stays visible?

1.0 unheadered 1.1 unheadered 1.0 headered 1.1 headered Which patch is the correct one to play? |

If you haven't read the readme and ask me questions like that, I may never answer your questions again
Edit: Magus, you got it right, that's what happens. Cool huh? This post has been edited by Gogo14 on 14th June 2011 14:21 |

How do you beat Ultros without power leveling? Aqua Rake kills Edgar and Terra even at max HP and he keeps using Cure 3, Cure 2, and Regen.

It depends which rom version you have, just match the patch version to the rom version and I believe you choose unheadered. |

Ultros was doing too much damage in previous versions, he should be winnable at around level 8-9 right now. I remember using fire on him before he gets to the heavier spells and winning easily that way.
Edit: Wow, sorry I didn't see your next post. I had a difficult time with Vargas, but rarely lost that fight. I would have one person healing with the other two attacking, eventually having everyone heal up as necessary. It takes maybe 30 tonics. When Sabin fights him, using pummel wins the match. There are 4 parts at most in the WoB where power leveling is even close to necessary; Hope that helps clear things up. Edit: As for Vigor and Strength, all the damage formulas are the same. What has changed is the stats that you can put in those formulas (spells have lower spell power, weapons have different battle power, etc.) This post has been edited by Gogo14 on 16th June 2011 22:51 |

Is there a way to exit the Magitek Research Facility after you fight Shiva and Ifrit? I beat Number 128 without Peach Rings and Safe Rings though.

Not sure if there's a way to exit besides progressing to Kefka. Nice job on 128, he was pretty difficult for me.

Will Gogo14 be making a difficult hack for FF6 Advance? Also is it true that the Wii U will be offering emulator features such as save states, etc.? Imagine Wii U with save states with a difficult hack for FF6 with FF6 remake on the Wii U.

Seems like it would be one thing for the WiiU to offer savestates, and a whole nother thing for them to allow fan-made game mods.

Plus I guess alot of the hack, IF it is such easily possible to modify the wii version, would need to be rewritten.
If you have a wii, you might want to check for homebrew, there is surely a SNES emulator out there with which you should be able to play the hack. |
