21 years, wow time has started to go by I must say.
I remember as far back to 1994, a time when I saw The Lion King 10 times in theaters, I don't know how I got my parents to do it, but they did. 1994 was also the first year I recall playing my first video game, it was Super Mario Kart, I have to thank my cousin for that. Although I started playing Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and Star Fox to name a few. Even though MK was considered controversial, I still playing it with blood and fatalities on. In 1995, only a couple things stick out, one of those was getting my first kiss in first grade. Some might say it didnt count, but the girl kissed me many times that year. The only thing I remember was that she had fair skin and had brown hair. Amazing I remember considering I was 6 at the time. 1996 sticks out because I finally got my own SNES that year. I remember being 7 for what felt like 2 years. For my 8th Birthday, I got a very awesome gift that surprised me. It was 100$ Wild West Themed Lego Set (It was the Fort), my parents got it for 20 bucks because it was returned and was missing THREE pieces. I thankfully had the 3 pieces and my parents had a happy kid that day. For my 9th Birthday, it seemed even better. I saw a decent amount of gifts that year. I had to open them in sequence. The First gift was Star Fox 64, then i opened one with a Rumble Pak, then a controller, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, a Controller Pak/Rumble Pak combo, and then a Nintendo 64. Nothing Made me happier that day. In 1999, I was introduced a variety of things, Super Smash Bros, Final Fantasy, and Pokemon. I got a Game Boy Color for my 10th Birthday with Pokemon Red, and that was the same birthday I stayed up for 12 hours and played Super Smash Bros, F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64, and Star Fox 64 with a bunch of friends from school. Pizza Hut is who I have to thank for my interest in Final Fantasy, as they gave out a demo disc with Final Fantasy VIII on it. I got Final Fantasy VIII for Christmas that year and have been an Avid Final Fantasy fan for 11 years. This same year was the year my parents divorced. The next few years dont stick out as much, until in the latter part of 7th grade, I learned that I had Aspergers Syndrome, this had made a huge change in my life as I often had some social difficulties when I was younger. By the time I was 15, I started to overcome said social issues and did better from then on. I also did quite well in High School, and had a cumulative 3.6 GPA, but it was never enough for my dad. My parents divorced had affected me heavily throughout the years since it happened back in 1999. 2007 Soon came and I graduated from High School in the top 20% of my class (which was of 480 if I remember), I started to go to community college as it was a cheaper path for me and I wasnt ready to go to a University. In late 2008, I met a girl who would change my life. This girl I would Eventually get into a relationship with about a year ago. I had some very interesting times with my first girlfriend. Many fun, but alot of complicated things as well. In early December her and I would end our relationship be just friends, but her and I would go on dates on and off, until when I moved, and 2 weeks ago and some days I ended everything with her as she made comments that not only insulted me, but my sister, and members of my family. Recently, I graduated from Community College last May, and moved to Ohio from California last June, and was recently accepted to Ohio State University. With my 21st birthday tomorrow, I felt the need to share this about my life to an awesome message board. Edit Happy Birthday CoN! ![]() |

It's was so cool and all I had was the smaller western ones... But geez I had a ton. Thank you. I was shocked when it happened 13 years ago. Me and a friend back from home were jamming to The Final Countdown about 5 minutes to midnight.

happy birthday! impressive is that I turned 21 this year and the gifts you received regarding videogames were almost the same I had in my childhood, like the gameboy on christmas. I got one too on the same year.

It's strange looking back at your own history. I'm about six months younger than you, so I'll be 21 in December, and I can still remember watching my dad and brother play DKC and Super Mario World, and being sick the Christmas Day I got Pokemon Blue. I wish you a happy birthday, and thanks Ranger, for giving us a good place to actually come and talk on the internet.

Happy 21st birthday, GamblingCat. And congratulations on your graduation and your future work at OSU, assuming you're going there. Which would make your move ironic since you coming right back to Ohio.
