A few years ago, my best friend got me into what would become my favorite band in Muse. The reason I'd say they are my favorite band would be the musical style of the band and they just sound so good live.

A lot of people I know like them, and for good reason. I don't dislike them but I would never listen to them if I had the choice, yet I still appreciate that they're a great band. Radiohead are in this category for me too.

This certainly is a very, very deep topic. smile.gif

I really liked Muse around the Origin of Symmetry and Absolution albums, particularly the latter, which I thought was absolutely brilliant. After that, I don't know what happened either to the band or to me or to both, but I have found both of their later albums to be unapproachable and not very listenable, with just a couple good tracks on each. The weirdest thing for me, is that in my opinion they've gotten more popular as their albums have gotten worse.

i went to go see muse on saint patricks day, and my god that was awesome. ive been a pretty heavy brit rock fan for a while now, thanks to my friend. i actually cant remember the last time i listened to anything but brit rock and brit indie rock. but yeah, i love muse, i love all of their albums (with the exceptions of tracks here and there on each), but whatever.

Absolutely my favorite band - I've seen them three times in the last year alone (once opening for U2, which was an incredible concert in its own right) and twice on the Resistance tour, and I will be seeing them again this coming October. Like Josh said, I don't think The Resistance was a very good album, but I disagree in that I liked Black Holes and Revelations quiet a lot. Absolution is one of the best albums I've ever listened to, though - front-to-back.

Origin of Symmetry is my favorite album.

I like HAARP and Hullabaloo Soundtrack (there first live album).

The Resistance isn't as good, but Exogenesis: Symphony is superb.

But I enjoy Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations (even if Supermassive Black Hole is heavily overplayed.)
