Can't believe people are passing up on this game because they have been hypnotized by Modern Warfare 2's glitch filled online multiplayer, if they only knew what they are missing. So far I've been loving the Rush Mode, which is similar to Modern Warfare 2's search and destroy except that in Bad Company 2 you don't have to run straight into "Camper Alley" to get yourself shot in the head by 6 sniping sons of a ***** or get stabbed by a magical super brutal knife of destruction from ten feet away. In Bad Company 2 every member of your squad is in possession of a bomb which has to be planted in either A or B of the enemy base camp. The attacking team has 75 soldiers (respawns) to do so, failure to do so results in the defending team winning the match, if the attacking team is able to destroy both A and B the defenders need to fall back and protect a new base. In Rush Mode you have access to helicopters that you can actually fly while one of your buddies uses the machine gun to destroy the defenders, you can drive massive tanks and blow up buildings while another member of your team controls the tank's machine gun, you can pilot a UAV that serves as a targeting system for missiles to destroy the enemy base, or you can just hop on a ATV four track and head straight to the enemy base to do some good old straight forward combat face to face with the enemy.

If you ask me I'd say Battlefield Bad Company 2 is in many ways a much more complete online experience. If Modern Warfare 2 didn't have the Call of Duty brand next to it and instead was called something else like for example "War Against Terrorism Online" I know of many who would have traded in a long time ago.

Anybody else in here playing what Game Informer calls "... the definitive game for online warfare".

I love BC2. I bought the original BC a few months ago as a Greatest Hits, and it was the best $15 I ever spent. BC2 is in every way an improvement over the good things of the first (except they took out the classy jazz music).

I never understood why MW has vehicles for solo mode but not in multiplayer. I was really into vehicles after lots of GTA4 and that was a big selling point for me. Also, from what I have seen and heard, MW is more of a run-and-gun game. By contrast, BC is all about stealth, and I absolutely love the strategic elements involved.

This is by far my fav multiplayer at the moment. Saffire, I don't know what system you have, but if it's PS3 and you are looking to add someone then PM me.

I was thinking about getting the Greatest Hits Bad Company and I will.

MW2 feels monotonous most of the time, plus most people playing MW2 are a bunch of jerks, more like AHoles. So far the entire BC2 experience has been pleasant.

MW2 probably attracts more trolls because it's more popular. Can't say, having never really played it.

BC1 is an awesome game and well worth the money. The controls are a little different from BC2 but you shouldn't have a hard time figuring it out. Not sure how many people you'll find on BC1 multiplayer these days, especially with BC2 being so new, but I'm sure there are a few. The single player is fun and has the same comedic cast of characters.

i actually returned this game yesterday. it just didnt feel like it added anything new to the shooter genre, plus the amount of dust, the awful writing, and the cookie cutter characters really turned me off of this game
