Does he actively try to anger barret?

At the beginning of the game he really angers barret and was known for fights in the past anyways.

And:is he partially psychic due to the jenova cells being injected in him?

At the first mako reactor core,he has a sort of red warning flash that only he recieves,so its like he has a higher sense of awarement.

He's not psychic, his head's all over the place. He's hearing voices from Sephiroth telling him to go north safely to give him the Black Materia, his Jenova cells are calling for the reunion, and the 'real' Cloud trying to get him to remember the real past, not his imaginary one, and thus win control of Cloud. Working out which voice is which is the difficulty.

I always thought the point was at the start of the game Cloud didnt really have a reason to care. He was just in it for the money, and that fundamentally annoyed Barret. Whether he did it specifically to annoy Barret, i dunno. lol
