Okie, I think we all know the W-Item trick, and most of us probably know the extended (steal/morph) W-item trick.

The thing I want to ask is does anybody know whether there is somewhere on disc 3 to farm magic and spirit sources using the W-item trick. I'm playing the PSN version so 'Gelnika+open disc tray' won't work.

If you could still fight at the Temple of the Ancients it would be ok for Magic sources, but spirit sources are most important (due to the magic defense bug) and Morphing Serpents in the Gelnika will take decades.

So...any bright ideas?

Yuffie's best weapon, the Conformer, gets additional power when you use it with the Morph command. Give her a couple of mastered Counter materia along with a mastered Cover, stick her in the back row, and go to town in the Gelnika. I don't know if there is a better way with W-Item, to be honest.

EDIT: I see you've mentioned the Conformer in another post, so this probably isn't very helpful. Sorry.

In the night there is something wild
Can you hear it breathing?
And hey, put the laptop down for a while
In the night there is something wild
I feel it, it's leaving me

Not particularly helpful, but thanks a lot anyway =)

I'm considering 4(Sneak Attack-Morph) + 4(Counter-Morph) ''and go to town in the Gelnika''.

Btw, I don't think Conformer powers up with Morph, just doesn't power down.

You can fight the 8 Eyes for Magic Sources in the Battle Square and keep the items at the end of the battle, so it'd only take about two runs at the BS to max a character's magic.

The only place to get Mind Sources is the Gelnika and the Whirlwind Maze. You'll have to just settle for the Gelnika on that one.

Gelnika + open disc tray? I have never, ever, heard of that until now!

Plus, the Conformer only powers up with the enemy's level biggrin.gif Which makes me an extremely happy bunny. I know I'm only pointing out errors here, just...

You don't keep items at the end of battle, sweetdude.

Anyways, to Google!!
