I don't get how people are so surprised that the guy playing Edward, in Twilight, played Cedric Diggery in Harry Potter. And why didn't everyone go crazy over Cedric instead of Edward. All the American girls I know go crazy over guys with European accents. Now they go crazy over a brit that fakes an American accent??

Cedric Diggory just wasn't a big deal unless you were a die hard Harry Potter fan, and the character himself was more of a plot device for the protagonist than the undead teen icon of the last few years. Any male actor who would've landed the part of Edward would be subject to the same preteen-heat frenzy. They're obsessed with the idea of this sparkly, vegan vampire who has about the same amount of character as a bucket. Pattinson himself is just the vessel for this icon they have all come to love.

I take great satisfaction in watching Voldemort kill him each time I see Goblet of Fire these days.

And back to my point on vegetarianism, see what I mean? Even the freaking vampires are giving up meat. What the hell.

You wouldn't want to eat the same bag of chips everyday for the rest of your life, so why would you want to talk to people who are exactly the same as each other for all eternity? Why would you want everyone to be carbon copies of each other, or, in really bad cases of prejudice, carbon copies of YOU? It's stupid, immature, and hurtful. And it has to stop.
