The unique cards, such as of specific summons and characters, can only be obtained once and are often only gained through specific events. Most commonly the card is obtained with the summon itself, though others can be found in chests, can be 'drawn' from Monsters or obtained by beating certain high ranking Triple Triad players.

I can't think of any GF cards -- or any cards at all, actually -- you get through drawing. Which are you referring to? -------------------- My Final Fantasy VII Plot Analysis "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" — Edmund Burke |

I think I remember that the Card Queen can paint you new cards. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can play her and win all the rare cards you lost once you're on the Ragnarok on the 4th disc.

You can get infinite copies of rare cards on disk 4 if you complete the CC group quest before the end of disk 3. The CC group will turn up on the space ship on disk 4 and play rare cards you do not possess, it doesn't matter if you lost them, modded them, or never got them in the first place. The game will randomly "shuffle" the rare cards you don't possess and distribute them to the CC members. However, the leftmost diamond girl is special. She will go down the card list in order and play the first rare card you don't have (although sometimes she won't play any rare cards at all). Also, she is the only CC member confirmed to play the Rinoa card and the cards created by the Queen of Cards quest. She uses Trabia's rules so you might want to work on abolishing the annoying rules like random and plus from that area.
The Queen of Cards turns up at the escape pod crash site on disk 4 and can play the cards created by her quest if you don't have them, but I'm not sure if she can play other rare cards. Also, I don't recommend playing her because she uses every rule except open and can be annoying to beat. You can draw Leviathan from one of the bosses in the final dungeon, but I can't remember which one. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. Spin-offs: FFIV: Interlude & The After Years, Crisis Core: FFVII, X-2, XIII-2, Lightning Returns, Type-0 HD, Dissidia, Dissidia 012, and Tactics (original & WotL). Enjoyed them all. |

You can start the Queen of cards quest on disks 1, 2, or 3 but you can only finish it on disk 3 since one of the cards you need to give to her isn't available until disk 3.
If you mod any of the cards you are supposed to give her (Minimog, Sacred, Chicobo, Alexander, and Doomtrain) you won't be able to finish the quest and will need to win the cards on disk 4 from the Queen or the CC group. -------------------- FF games completed: I (psp), II (psp), III (DS), IV (psp), V (GBA), VI (GBA), VII, VIII, IX, X, XI: Nations-Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, XII, XIII, XIV, XV. You can't get the Alexander or Doomtrain cards until disk 3. You might want to check gamefaqs for a detailed walkthrough of this quest.
