ok, is there a new version of this game or maybe a remake that i dont know of. i always say to myself that if they ever come out with a upgraded version then ill get it. just like how they did 2(4).

The only versions for FF VI that exist are for the SNES, Playstation, and Game Boy Advance. The PS1 version is the same as the SNES version, with one or two new cutscenes in the opening before the main menu. The GBA version is the same as the SNES version, except that there are a few new optional dungeons in the WoR as well as a few new weapons, armor, Espers, and spells, all available to be found at approximately the time as the new dungeons.

There is no full-fledged remake of Final Fantasy VI similar to the DS remake of Final Fantasy IV.

There was actually a announcement from SE remaking some older titles. FFVI could be one.

Although, I can't remember if it said FF titles or just remake titles that aren't FF related.
