I remember hearing about this game over a year ago when it was called Infinite Line, and it sounded pretty cool. I had basically forgotten about it over the summer and schoolyear, but I stumbled across a recent English-language review earlier today. It sounds like this game was made exactly to steal 100 hours of my life.
It came out a month or two ago in Japan, and it's scheduled to hit the United States in the first half of 2010. Basically it's a DS strategy RPG with a long branching storyline and over a hundred characters. You build and customize a small fleet of spaceships and crew them with characters you recruit from different places all over the galaxy. Then you do strategic battles with space pirates and such and watch the story unfold. It almost seems like an old X4 like Master of Orion II had a gorgeous mixed-race bastard child with Fire Emblem. That seems like it'll be a good game. I'm going to get a DS before that comes out, so I'll get that game. Man, that just seems awesome.

This actually looks... pretty cool! And I think this type of game will work especially well on the handheld format.

Freelancer goes strategy...
I WANT! do you get to fly around too or do you only control your forces? reminds me of the first Pirates Of The Carribean made by Bethesda not Ubisoft -------------------- Since I advertise CoN there I think it's only fair that I advertise The Wiki here. |
