I've wanted to purchase the complete series of Full Metal Alchemist for years now, but just haven't had the disposable income for a while. However, a friend of mine recently directed me to a site called ZoomMovie, which is selling the complete series for $49.99. This seems too good to be true, since the previous low I'd seen was $90, and I've seen it as high as $200.
Basically, as the title suggests, should I trust ZoomMovie? or is it sketchy? Any information would be helpful. Thanks. |

For that price my immediate reaction would be that its too good to be true XD but thats just me being paranoid.
I haven't heard of the site before, but I think best bet would be googling it or something, and definately checking out their return policies and all that jazz before doing ANYTHING. Websites can be tricky 0.o Hope its legit! -------------------- *Sigh*....Times are tough |

Based on this thread alone, I say no. That's a bootleg.

I took a look at the web site, and it does seem kind of shady. Though, having been in Korea and Japan last year, I can tell you that bootlegs would be a lot cheaper and the selection would be much larger. The only real way to tell is to order something and judge the quality.
The films are licensed for distribution in Malaysia, which may explain the seemingly cheaper prices. Bear in mind, you will also be charged shipping and handling from Malaysia, which could more than double the price depending on the shipping method. If you still feel unsure about it, chechk out the Better Business Bureau or some other third party agency that does business certification. Besides, you should be looking on AmaCoN anyway. -------------------- This is a webcomic and gaming blog where I rant about nonsense. Enjoy. I was a soldier, now I just play one in video games. |

Quote (Shiva Indis @ 7th December 2009 09:18) Based on this thread alone, I say no. That's a bootleg. Quoted for truth. I got roped into the same thing many years ago on a FF6 soundtrack, and if the prices sound too good to be true, they almost certainly are. I would be wary as well. Go with someone who is well known, even if the prices are a bit higher.

Thanks for all your responses. I think I'll take my business elsewhere.
