I agree, I myself have enjoyed every FF game I've played so far (and yes, that includes X-2), but X & XII fans seem to be at odds with each other in general from what I've seen. Then again, GameFAQs users may not be a good representation of the general gaming community.




On the original topic of Leona Lewis (who I had never even heard of until this topic), I really don't see the inclusion of her song as a big deal. I hate "Eyes on Me", but I still love FFVIII overall. I haven't played FFXIII yet, but unless the song is played often I doubt it will have a large impact on my experience.

Have really only seen FF6 vs FF7 and FF7 vs FF8 but haven't really seen FF10 vs FF12 before

Yeah agree completely, if you don't enjoy the song that is played throughout the Final Fantasy just ignore and enjoy the game for itself, or even turn down the television volume and grab out the I-pod. sure there is people out there who didn't like Suteki na de or Melodies of life or even the opera from FF6 and they survived ^-^

I finished FFXIII recently (still need to do the optional stuff), and I just want to say for those still concerned about "My Hands" inclusion in the game that it only plays once, during the ending, and so softly that the lyrics are barely noticeable.

Also, from reading other topics, it seems like some people are confusing "Serah's Theme" (which does play fairly frequently in various forms throughout the game) with "My Hands" (unless the music placement is different between different versions).

I wasn't sure about that. Is that the song that sounds like someone's just wandered onto a stage and started singing whatever part of a song they remembered before wandering off again? The one that plays in the jungle level as if monkeys in the trees have stolen a record player and a broken record that can only play 20 seconds of dinner music before it repeats? If so, that was, as far as I'm aware, the worst piece of music in the game. Overall I quite like the music, however.

The song that plays on the title screen is called "Final Fantasy XIII - The Promise." Serah's Theme is just that with lyrics, I think.
