Woohoo, go Led Zepplin!

Yngwie Malmsteen... I've heard of him, but I don't know much about him.

Apperently John Mayer plays a phenomenal Claptonesque Blues Guitar. Who knew?

/me raises hand.

Yeah, it's true. He does have some guitar skill, evidenced by his live album (though I've heard from friends that have seen him live that the live album doesn't even show him at his best - small clubs usually get the benefit of more guitar work). I don't know that he's in the same league as Clapton -at least he's not there yet.

Last night. When he worked the Layla riff into the background of one of his songs...I shed a single tear.

Zoot Horn Rollo, Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band '67 - 72. Though not as technically virtuoso as some of the others, if you listen to the Captain Beefheart tracks Moonlight on Vermont, Big Eyed Beans from Venus, Safe as Milk or indeed any Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band song, you'll see his skill, power and passion. He's just a unique, talented and clever musician who plays well, but with subtlety.
