First, cover song. I don't mind if you do them, just do them right. I got into an argument with a guy over the Metalica song Wisky In The Jar. He said it was a sin to cover a Thin Lizzy song. I responded that Thin Lizzy covered it themselves. It is a Celtic folksong.
Second, I will admit I have teenage angst, but I have had a hard life and deserve a little. I was beaten as a child by my older brother severly. At thirteen, on of the only people to give a damn about me died. At sixteen, the love of my life was beaten to death because he was gay. At seventeen, my mother was diagnosed with MS, or mutiple Sclaroses and my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. This same year I dated a girl who used me to make her boyfriend jealous, and as soon as I felt I could love again, he nearly put me in the hospital. I am sick and tired of being stared and gawked at as I walk through...anywhere. I do not follow trends, I dress how I want. I do not take the moniker of punk or goth( though I do enjoy both veriatys of music). I stand 6'3", am very broad and have long hair. Mother's usher their childern away from me. I'm tired of people looking at me like a serial killer or rapist when I offer to help them take the 150 lbs box they just bought to their car because they have kids to watch and probably couldn't lift it anyway.I am an aspirering priest, for gods sake, writing my own interpritation of the bible. So before you generalize someone baised on the way the look, please, think of me, the gental giant in black. -------------------- Love and Peace- Vash, the Stampede If Life kicks you long enough, eventually he'll get tired and walk away- Drew Carry |

Right now, a thing that's bothering me, is heat. It's 41°C in Paris, I'm actually enjoying the 45 minutes of subway transportation I have to go through to work, because it's cooler in the sub. I know, it's summer (at least in the north hemispher), I should be glad, but all that heat is pushing the pollution level to a record, people are all in a crappy mood, and it's really exhausting...
If you can avoid it, don't come to Paris right now, it's hot as hell !! (if you decide to do so, because it's planned or something, contact me : I'll arrange a tour or something) |

• Sabin's "pimping" pet peeve. I'm not a big fan of rap and hip hop and R&B, and people that try to be all punk and stuff creep me out. ô_o
• People who play the music way too loud in the car. Personally, I don't want to hear your music while I'm standing 1,000 feet away. It irks me every time someone blows by the house and the bass is rattling the windows and shaking the walls...and all this while the car is still half a mile down the steet. *sigh* Kids. First off, I have no real particular style, but I do love spiked jewelry, wear jeans that are fatter than hell, dye my hair, and paint my nails black. I used to sport Jnco crime scenes which I think were 64 inches (a bunch of centimeters) and loved them. Yanno what? People made fun of me, yanno why? Because they are assholes! They are so wrapped up in thier own world that the first time somone with even minor interest to fashion sports along, they get xenophobic and pushy. Fuck them and everyone who looks like them, Baggy pants are comfortable and I would bash my spiked jewelry into the head of the asshole who picks a fight with me about it! Which is one damn good reason why I wear it! Some of my best friends are labled "punk," "goth," and "thuggish," and just because they look different doesn't mean they they are any more harmful, violent, or friendly than anyone else. Although lots of them usually don't know what they're talkin about but we got plenty of those here too. I love good sound in cars, I just don't like it when the music has so much bass it makes the car loosen up all it's screws. You're in a heavily populated noisy area, you shouldn't disturb people who are trying to watch, Everybody loves Raymond. I turn the system down at or after 8:00 or so. If I got subwoofer that would disturb people in the noise of thier own homes, wake others up, or set off car alarms. (I've seen it done!) Then I would ask for tickets for noise pollution. Cops hate bass. See a cop? Turn the music down...way down. -------------------- At times one remains faithful to a cause only because its opponents do not cease to be insipid. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900) |

this got me mad
i started a thread about crossing over ff4 and warhamemr 40,000 for a fiction. no one replies. i fully expected someone to at least care a little. then i start a thread (now deleted) regarding the fact the scottish football season had restarted. all that was in it was a sereis of 'we dont care' messages. imagine if everybody on a forum said to you 'The superbowl sucks.' after you start a thread in anticipation of it. thats what it was like. but worse. i didnt really expect anyone to care, but still got 3 replies for a thread no one should really have cared about, but i hoped to maybe get someone else rooting for my team. but no. all i got was soemthing that really offended me instead. thanks folks. PS- and to think, Rangers51 said he didnt care about the SPl..and Glasgow Rangers won today too.. AND I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT THE EssPeeEll! (begins sceraming in rage and opens fire upon parkhead and ibrox.) seriously, it wasnt that offensive. but it had a hidden agenda and everythign, I.E what it feels like for sports fans when their favourtie sport restarts after a break. and my fanfics got Eldar beign evil and the humans WERE going to win.. untill no one replied... PPS (last one)-hey, where is next years superbowl? i read sum of all fears and im inspired.. to start a peace process in the middle east. what,> why are you all screaming 'we're all going to die!' what did you think i meant? -------------------- "Only the dead have seen the end of their quotes being misattributed to Plato." -George Santayana "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here..." -Abraham Lincoln, prior to the discovery of Irony. |

How I interpret it, is seeing as how you're the only person on the board from Scotland (that i know of..), then it's obviously not very likely that the majority of the board will have any idea what your talking about other than futbol. Also, seeing as how we don't got Scottish TV here in America, even if by some chance someone got to routing for a team in that league, they wouldn't even be able to watch any of the games. The best they could do was look at scores on the internet, which ends up defeating the whole purpose of routing for the team, because you don't even get to see them play. If there was a Super Bowl thread, on the other hand, there could obviously be a large fan base, as the majority of the board is American. What it boils down to is who the message board is comprised of, and in this case, who or what they're likely to rout for.
Sorry if that sounded harsh, wasn't meant to. -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |
