Well what's not to like? She is very well-rounded in battle, having stong magical as well as melee abilities. ANd when she's short on MP she can Runic and gain it back.

Outside of battle, she's a fairly level-headed person. Sure, being all alone on a secluded island having no knowledge of the fates of her friends got to her a bit, but is there anyone who wouldn't be phased by a similar experience? As it is, she overcame that feeling of hopelessness and went on to scour the world and find all her lost friends, reuniting them to destroy the evil that destroyed their world.


I got a little bit rant-ish there, but Celes is just an awesome character, and one of my favourites, if not #1.

Oh my gosh this is like my dream topic! I have dreamed about travelling in an FF-style world for years In my dreams we always have to stop Rachel Maddow from hurting animals and we usually have to show her the error of her ways!

The first member in my group would be Red XIII! He is loyal and he is knowledgeable and he would make a great furry friend to have He is also very strong and has good resources!

The second member in my group would be Mog! I have to overlook his immoral lifestyle because having someone who could stop random encounters would be completely useful unless the real reason the Molulu Charm works is that it smells really bad! Ewww! Also he is so cute when he dances

The third member in my group would be Dragon Reis! I would have to stop Beowulf from turning her into a stupid Dragoner though! I love that Dragons have all these magical bracelets that cast spells! It is so cute

Finally I would be in the group and I would like to think I would be like Shadow but instead of Interceptor coming when I get hit it would be my cat Wigwuzzums (I call her Lumpy for short) who comes and defends us!

We would be the best team ever!

Edgar – Has tools, can use a good variety of weapons and armor, can go dragoon, has a mobile castle and he is smart, so he could come with a plan if needed to.

Minwu – Because I'm not leaving with a party that doesn't have someone with white magic. Besides he can learn any other magic and use any weapon.

Edge - I'll round the party with someone fast, can steal, dual wield, a little frail but he can go to the back row and use ninjutsu or throw. Can get us out of an unwanted fight.

Me?, I guess I could sit on the back row handing potions or something >_>

This is a fun topic and everyone has formed some really cool teams thus far.

I would be a Red Mage, supporting the party with basic magic for healing, support, and attack. In my ideal world, I'd have a gun as opposed to a sword. I fit into the 'jack-of-all-trades, master of none' archetype.

Beatrix: A Paladin with powerful sword attacks and White Magic to keep everybody alive! She wasn't as featured as prominently battle-wise in FFIX, but she has a lead role in this party.

Red XIII: My favorite character from the FFVII compilation; he's very versatile, loyal, wise, and no slouch on the field. When I played FFVII, I always gave him mastered Enemy Skill materia.

Milleuda Folles: I know there are many more powerful FFT characters I could have selected, but she got much less screen time than everyone else and she died a very tragic death. A powerful addition to the party and a second chance in life that no FF character deserves more. She wouldn't be as over-powered as some of the special Knight classes from that game and she mixes in well with my well-rounded, highly versatile party. She'd have Martial Arts/Punch Arts as a secondary skillset.

Rosa (Final Fantasy IV) - She is able to cast the most powerful white magic spells to aid not only herself, but the team. Another great part is she comes off with ALOT of MP, so don't expect to use Ethers too often.

Ramza (Final Fantasy Tactics) - A heroic knight who fights for what is just and rebels against the unjust. Unlike most FF heroes, he isn't a stubborn asshole and he gets the job done on time.

Locke (Final Fantasy VI) - An intellectual thief--err TREASURE HUNTER who can figure out the exact location of traps and instruct his allies on how to avoid them at all costs. He may be physically weak, but he can run away from you really fast.

Blades of Steel (Me) - A Viking warrior arisen from the darkened pits of Hell, who is granted with the almighty powers from the gods to tear a whole nation apart. His hair is the true mark of his bravery and strength. Do not show him any sort of remorse!

I'd bring...
Terra(FFVI, for healing and elemental damage)
Cloud(FFVII, for his big freakin' sword)
And...uhh... Edge(FFIV for stealh and that stuff....)
Yeah.. I'd be a mage... with summoning abilities (is that CHEATING????)

I would have to bring cecil, celes, and vivi.
another team would be garnet/dagger, rosa, and locke.

Would Take..

Yuna- FFX She is pretty good at Black Magic and White Magic aand she can Summon Aeons. She is pretty much unstoppable and would equip her with the staff that would be able to turn monsters/ enemies in stones.

Cloud- VII For Strength and Muscle basically. While Yuna is great at magical attacks Cloud would be hitting and attacking foes physically tough !

Quina IX For comic relief of course. With Yuna and Cloud in the party things might get a little depressing...xDD


Bartz- V Power of the Job Class !- C'mon ! He would be able to change into any Job during the adventure and he would be able to suit/ adjust to what is going on. If the group needs a extra White Sage or Summoner he would be able to see that fit..

"Can we just cut to the chase?" asks a man seated to the female's right. "Out here in the open can't be the safest place right now."

"Quite right," the female voice says. "So let's get to the introductions.

"To my left, we have our tank and point man. A general and a master swordsman, Leo Cristophe comes to us from FFVI. He was a general for the Empire until his untimely death at the hands of Kefka Palazzo. It took some doing to get him back, including a deal with a guy who called himself Seifer - Lou Seifer, if I'm right - but he's now alive and kicking. Welcome aboard, Leo."

"Thanks," a man with a blond mohawk says uncertainly. "Are you sure I'm not still dead?"

"Positive," the female voice assures him. "I sold out some mercenary calling himself 'Squall' to get you back. Moving along.

"To Leo's left, we have our engineer and worldly-wise adviser. Gentlemen, please welcome Cid Pollendina from FFIV. Cid was the creator of the airships in the game and he can repair almost anything. This is a serious plus, seeing as how I'm kinda clumsy."

"Yeah, about that," Cid says, smacking a plumbers wrench into the palm of his hand as though it was a billyclub. "You're not flying my baby until I know you won't crash again."

"All right," the female says, knowing that arguing with Cid wouldn't be productive. "And last but not least, our third member and strong man. He wasn't cheap, and he was awfully hard to track down, but at long last I found him via complicated quantum physics and some tech of questionable legality. Gentlemen, meet Gilgamesh from FFV."

"Wait just a second," Cid says, still wielding his wrench like a billyclub. "Isn't he a bad guy?"

"Well, yes," the female voice begins hesitantly, but is cut off.

"Enough expository banter!" Gilgamesh exclaims, holding his Genji Helmet on his hip and striking a heroic pose. "Now we fight like men! And, uh, a lady. A lady who dresses like a man!"

"I don't dress like a man!" the female says, offended. "I just happen to like blue jeans!"

Leo looks concerned. "I have a few misgivings. Where are our healers? We only have two swordsmen and an engineer. And do we really need a reformed villain in the party?"

"We don't need healers," the woman says confidently. "That's why they make Phoenix Down and Elixirs." Ignoring Gilgamesh's cough of 'Aeris Gainsborough,' the woman continues. "We have two swordsmen and an engineer because I fight melee style. I rarely use magic, and none of us are really classed for it anyway."

"But," Leo says, his eyes still narrowed, "who are you exactly? Are you really cut out to be our leader?"

"Name's Portia, from a place called Caves of Narshe," the woman says. "Technically, I guess I'm classed as an orator. I'm not very fast and I'm only moderately strong. But I'm in charge of all the inventory and the community wallet. And I have this." Portia places a weapon on the table, a rather large shotgun. "Got it out of the deal with Mr. Seifer," she adds. "Belonged to some guy named Irvine. And I'm getting to be a pretty darn good shot. I'll be in charge of our transportation, intelligence gathering, and - with Gil here - our back guard."

She looks each of her team members in the eyes. "Gentlemen, we're gonna save the world. Sound good?"

@Freebird: Milleuda is one of my favorite side characters from FFT. You're absolutely right. She deserves a second chance.
