Heh. Hidden Temple.
The craziest place I've ever been to.
Also the HARDEST!!!
I somehow get to the statue before the softening serum expires, then it turns to the Grand Aevis and *bleep*s me. How's that?!
Anyone else finding it ridiculously @$$ kicking? anyone with tips?

It's supposed to be hard. I usually don't have that kind of trouble, owning anything that appears in my way with relative ease, but I can't go very far because I get really lost. And we can't warp from there.

Ahh... In the later part of the game, when the two worlds merged, look for a bubbling area in the southern part of the sea,go underwater, go on top of this crack you're supposed to see, press A then... press this switch, then enter the top door. There. My instructions may seem blurry 'cause I haven't played FFV for some time. Sorry and good luck.

To all: keep in mind that this is only in the GBA version of FF V.

And, I didn't really have much trouble with the Hidden Temple. I was just waaay waaay too overleveled from collecting Dragon Lances and working up to beat Omega and Shinryu.

Ahh I see. I've yet to play the GBA version. Is the temple worth completing? Any awesome weapons or anything of the sort?

There are really awesome weapons like Ultima, Apocalypse, Longinus... well, awesome weapons. And a new job. Necromancer. Boo.

Bad part? A room with seven (I counted them) Omegas. Oh, and Omega MK II, Neo Shinryu. And Enuo. The three destructooges.

I have never played the GBA version, but if you have problems against monsters you might should consider using super combos

Those are for instance,
Monk/Ninja and many other meelee fighters + X-Fight

Black/White/Time mages (maybe also callers) with X-Magic - You can even cast the high level spells twice then.

Maybe Samurai with Toss

Chemist can be also very useful if you use the Mix ability

Even some of those fail miserably against Neo-Shinryuu.

Ah, the GBA version...at first I kept thinking, 'wait, Hidden Temple?' It's been a while since i've played V, but not THAT long...

Never tried the GBA version, though I did go through the new dungeon in the GBA VI, and yeah it was pretty brutal.

Neo Shinryu is tough. He will kill you. However, if you:

Mix stuff to get double max HP
Cast Hastega and Mighty Guard
Use Elixirs and White Wind
Have two freelancers dualwielding Dragon Lances/Spears/whatever and jumping randomly
Anti-zombie stuff.
Stuff that absorbs elements/mix stuff to get those effects

The only way he can hurt you is by casting Almagest, and even that's pretty wimpy when you have Mighty Guard and 9999 max hp.

That why I like FF5. Strategy. Job combining.

Omega MK2? That's another story... It Wave Cannons you. To death.
