Is that sword that you wager to get shadow in WoR still called Striker in the GBA version?

I believe it is, but don't take my word for it.

Yes, in the GBA version they changed it to this name. It was Striker originally. Why they changed it to that is beyond me.

Well, considering pretty much all (as far as I know of) of Shadows weapon in FF6GBA has Japanese names leaving one out seems kinda odd. Maybe Striker was a bad translation?

Sounds reasonable. Thank you for the assistance. happy.gif

The original Woolsey translation gave the weapons of Cyan and Shadow English names; Kunai became Imperial, Kikuichimonji became Forged, stuff like that. In the GBA game, the new translator decided that since they are ninja blades and katanas, both eastern-style weapons, it'd be nicer to have the original names intact. The Ichigeki (meaning: one blow) was always the Ichigeki, it was just called 'Striker' by Woolsey.

That makes sense, since I guess they are from eastern countries in the game.
