Who do you think is the most irratating FF Character but don't post any characters from FF X-2 because none of the the characters in THAT game are good enough to be considered an FF character.
My choice would have to be... um I'll think about it. Please give me some inspiration. |

Mostly the ditzy girls. However, Cara, Eiko, and Relm were funny and good at it, and Rikku was so-so the first time. But Yuffie, Selphie, and the later Rikku get on my nerves. Yuna is also nerve-wrecking. So was Aeris. I hated her so much that I didn't notice when she died, and later in the game I said to myself, "hey, what happened to Aeris?"
As for the males, you can't get much worse than Tidus. He's annoying, whiny, and looks like Meg Ryan. Umaro is also annoying AND crappy in battle. Squall too, as I don't really care much for the emo type. Cloud was alright, but I think I'd have liked him more if he didn't have spikey hair. Cyan gets on my nerves too, mainly because he's hyped up by his fanboys, and he never really works for me. -CSM -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Join us! |

Gotta be Aeris. No matter how high you get her level up, she's still really, really weak. The only time you can get her ultimate limit break is, like, an hour before she's no longer in your party. And, chances are, you'll never get to use it. Her ultimate weapon's just plain annoying. She has the silliest lines in the whole game, she acts like a total ditz, and fights people with...a stick. It's not even a pointy stick. Plus, she's way, WAY too girly. I mean, she ends every fight by making sure her hair's not messed up! And, any less-than-decent character that forces their way into my party at any point in the game, I automatically dislike. Yup, she's definitely the most irritating FF...no, video game character ever.

Squall had a higher ovary count than most of his female counterparts in FFVIII.
I hated that game overall, but Squall thakes the annoyance title by far, of any game. Yes, more so than Selphie, Irvine, Zell, Quistis, Seifer, the works. Though I also submit that game's entire cast for nominations. -------------------- Okay, but there was a goat! |

Quote (dont chocobos rule? @ 26th June 2006 01:10) relm, strago, gau, cyan, and sezter- i can never use them in battle...... How to use Setzer, Gau, and Relm 101: Teach Relm spells: I found her spells to be stronger than Terra's (and Relm has better Magic Power than Terra, and it can be boosted further with her equips). Have Gau use the right Rage. Several examples are: Stray Cat, Anguiform, Aspik, Bomb, Ing, Magic Urn, Wooly, Rhinox, Over-Mind, and Hazer, just to name a few. Setzer needs Fixed Dice, but Fixed Dice + Offering is pretty strong. Slots are also great in the WoB. 7-Flush is stronger than Aurabolt when focused, and Chocobop is the same thing as Meteor, only it can't hit flying opponents. Cyan I can agree with you on, though. Now, I will stop sounding like such an obsessive geek. -CSM -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Join us! |

I despise Yuffie with an undying passion. She's so... peppy, if you will. I personally didn't mind Edward too much, he was just a pansy. As for squall, he reminds me too much like my brother (he's a myspace generation emo kid). My least favorite was Edge. Though his name was cool, he is such a whiny loser prince. He makes me wanna... do bad things, let's leave it at that.

Ah ha. I really don't like Loz or Yazoo from AC with all that don't cry crap, I understand that they're talking about their mother but it's really over the top and when Kadaj goes to the lifestream Loz says we can all go together and play. Everytime I watch that I cringe. Kadaj wasn't as bad as his brothers but he wasn't the most coolest bad ass villian.
So the winners are Loz and Yazoo. This post has been edited by Silver 09 on 26th June 2006 16:02 |

---Rinoa Male: Cloud / Rinoa is just so sickeningly stupid. And Cloud needs to just get over it. But Rinoa is worse, in my opinion. EDIT: Honorable mentions go to Garnet and Cait Sith for being quater-finalists. This post has been edited by yelanates on 26th June 2006 16:29 |

Yeah, Guy speech thing was weird to me too. When I 1st saw him talk like that in DoS, I thought, "did they translate this wrong?" but then I noticed that it happened again...and again...and only to him. I mean, he grew up with Firion, Maria, and Leon, and you don't see them grunting like cavemen!
Tellah annoyed me in IV mainly because of the whole, "as he levels up, his stats went down" thing. VI didn't really have annyoing people. To me, they were all likeable. Yes, even Relm VIII's Squall had issues. The whole "I really don't care about anyone" thing was cool when I played in middle school, but now I don't care fore it. Steiner was my least favorite in IX. I don't know why, he just irked me in some way. And in VII, that definetly goes to Yuffie. The perkiness, the materia stealing, it made her unfavorable in my eyes. -------------------- |

I really liked Tidus. I think he gets a bad rap because he was so young. Someone at the age he depicts isn't really supposed to be a pillar of maturity. I'm getting on a rabbit trail now, though.
My least favorite/most annoying characters would be Cait Sith, Umaro, and Payne. -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

Quote (Crazyswordsman @ 26th June 2006 17:47) Squall is the same age as Tidus. -CSM Yes, and was also enrolled in a military academy. Whereas Tidus was a Blitzball glamourboy. The equivalent of a high schooler going to the NBA straight out of 11th grade. He was a young, impetuous, professional athelete. I think it's fairly clear that there is a sharp distinction between them and their circumstances that more than explains their temperament. Besides... I don't find Squall all that mature, anyways. The whole "whatever" thing is a verbal tactic which was made popular by middle-grade kids, yet Squall uses it with frequent flair. I despise Yuffie and Relm, i fine there too annoying. And when you try to get her you can lose your gold if you dont answer Yuffies questions right. And Steiner, not only does he look ugly but he has the worst attitude EVER with his un necessary tempers.
Buuut the worst one EVER was Rikku. I didn't even have to play more than a half hour of FF10 and i knew she was annoying. BUT i played more FF 10-2 (yeah strange i know) And no it wasn't because of her i gave up on the game, I was at my buds place who now moved. It amazes me how folks hate on Cait Sith so much when he was easily the most-developed character in FFVII.
At any rate, for me, it would depend upon my mood. I cannot stand Squinoa, at all. Daisy Duke--I mean Tifa--isn't exactly that great, either. I happen to like most of the "perky/peppy" chicks, if only because they're such a contrast to the emo characters that scores of fanboys adore. Of course, seeing as Relm and Eiko are both KIDS, they don't exactly fit into that "perky chick" category. But I still like them both. They're both (almost sickeningly) cute. But the most annoying character would have to be.... *drumroll* Thief! Yeah, as in FF1 Thief. Y'know, the I-can't-steal-I-can't-attack-I'm-only-good-for-running-away Thief? Yeah. Him. |

I find Quina from IX far more taxing to use. The bits of dialogue that might be annoying to read from others still offers character traits and fleshes out their involvement in the game, but Quina could have been replaced by a vacuum that can cast blue magic and the story would have been the same.

The entire main cast of FF8. Every single one of the six is annoying as hell for reasons I've gone over a million times, but here's the one word reasons
Squall: Emo! Zell: Asshole! Selphie: ADHD! Rinoa: Loser! Quistis: Ditto! Irvine: Snipor! A character who always annoyed me was FF7's Heidegger. He was so pompous and full of himself for no reason at all, and when he got shot down a notch by his bosses, he would take it out on his men. Hard for me to loathe somebody more than that.
