Quote (Magitek_slayer @ 19th June 2009 17:18) Now final fantasy is in serious trouble. First final fantasy 7 and 8 and 9 wich was meh ok and then 10 was a lil better and after ff12 still continuing on? Haven't you guys have enough? FInish the series already. Sorry to say but your risking the chance to make another bad game. I have lost hope in final fantasy series and maybe i will look towards phantasy star or some other series if not maybe all hope is gone. Sorry but disagree with you. There is a chance that the Final Fantasy could still go on strong for generation's for come. All of the Final Fantasies games are different which means that heaps of different tastebuds and interests are going to change and suit/ match different people over the years. You either dislike or like a Final Fantasy. Which is why reckon the series should keep on going. Have to agree that the series is going on a decline since FF10. But there is still plenty of time to change things/ get things up and start making good real games in the collection again. Not going to give up on the series just because SE are experimenting with the series and trying to do different things. But then again just thinking positively. ^^ But if Final Fantasy XV follows the same follow-up as XII and XIV then going to start agreeing with you straight away. But don't want that to happen. -------------------- Currently playing Chrono Trigger !! Currently looking forward to Don't Know. |

The series will continue to sell on legacy alone. While the newer games might irk some of us old school types, they seem to fit in well with the newer generations of gamers. MMORPGs are big right now and Squenix would be dumb if they didn't try to get a piece of the pie.

Quote (yelanates @ 4th June 2009 08:06) Release of 2010!? IIRC there's never been two main series numbered games released in the SAME YEAR. FF1 to FF4 was 1989 to 1991 so somewhere there had to be 2 games in 1 year. Personally I prefer gaming alone, the exception is the occasional 2 player ability like in FFIX. I'd prefer to play with people I know. Just because it came to the States in '89 doesn't mean anything, really. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy#Main_series -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |
