Who thinks there will be a KHIII?
I only ask this because in the end of KHII, Possible spoilers: highlight to view The crew finds another letter floating in the water with King Mickey's seal on it, which reads on the keyblade war and strange people called chasers! Since there is a letter in the first place from mickey, doesnt that mean that the barriers between the worlds are still broken or at least weak, so there are still worlds to fix, and the keyblade war is fast approaching or something? Nomura said that although there are plans for KHIII at the time, it is not in development. In addition, it may not be related to the current storyline of KHI/CoM/II.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if it was made at all, but Nomura and the KH team is working on Final Fantasy XIII: Fabula Nova Crystalis right now, so it will probably be awhile.

I happen to be very confident that there will be a third installment in the series. However, take into acount how much time there was between the first and second (four freaking years!) and the fact that it will most likely be on the PS3..... my calculations come to....don't hold your breath. Its going to be a while. Don't worry, I'm as disapointed as you are.

Nomura says he definitely plans on making a KH3, so it will happen. We just don't know when. Hopefully this time around there'll be more FFIV characters (Edge and Kain mainly, and it'd be really awesome if Kain joins) and FFVI characters (Gau in the Tarzan world works well, as does the Locke and Celes pairing, and if Edgar was in it, it'd be really funny if he tried to hit on Kairi). From FFVII, I'd like to see Barrett make a return. I'd also like to see the more grown up Seifer, as well as Irvine as a boss. From FFIX, Beatrix would make an awesome optional boss, and the Tantalus Troupe could make a cameo. From the Disney world, they should put in a Toy Story world, as that was the last of the Disney greats.
Edit Oh, and I should probably say this, too. KH3 should have all of the following. If it doesn't have a single one of the things I am about to list, I will boycott Square forever and block the entrance to every game store that sells KH3. 1. The REAL Leon (FFII) 2. More FFIV and VI characters 3. Cowboy Hats 4. Racing Stripes 5. Music by the Black Mages 6. Theme written and performed by Huey Lewis and the News 7. Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man 8. Voice acting by the cast of Good Times 9. Captain Lou Albino 10. Cheese and lots of it 11. "Soulless" to go with the Heartless 12. Booyaville 13. Mickey Mouse actually showing his face 15. The Hercules Colosseum changing to the Colosseum from FFVI 16. Chrono Trigger characters 17. Johnny Jump-ups 18. Port-o-Johns in every town 19. A performance of Johnny B. Goode 20. A performance of Johnny C. Bad 21. Some guy named John 22. Okay, I'll stop with these John jokes 23. So-called Sloth 24. What do you mean I forgot number 14? 25. No, I didn't. 26. No, I didn't. 27. They couldnt make another one because theyve tied up pretty much all the loose ends that the first ones left, theres not enough story left to make another one

But that's the thing, there WILL be a KHIII. And the story was definitely not tied up, as we could see from the ending vid.

Nomura pretty much said that there are ideas for KHIII, though it is not in production, and that it will not be a part of the story of KHI/CoM/II.

Ok... If you beat the game on Proud mode, or finish Jiminy's Journal 100% you unlock a secret video/trailer for KHIII. And frankyly it looks absolutly insane. So while you say there "can't" be another one there can be. And if you watch the video there will be.

I read somewhere Nomura has no plans for a kingdom hearts 3 and that he wanted to take a break from kingdom hearts for a while so if there will be one it won't be here for a while

I just thought of a good idea. Disney owns the Dinosaurs TV show. They should make a 60,000,003 BC world featuring the Sinclairs. Gau would be the FF cameo in the world, and Ayla from Chrono Trigger would make an appearance. -CSM

This doesnt have anything to do with this thread but i was wondering if you guys whom have played the kh series would recomend it highly?? or just another square game?

I think there will be a KH3 and it will relate to the story line cause, might be a spoiler to people that havent played KH2 yet.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Since Kairi had a nobody; The other princesses should have one  and if they dont wtf, then why does Kairi =P-------------------- The voices tell me to stab you.....I mean give you candy filled with razor blades.......thats right candy. |

Square-Enix said they would make it, but not for a while. They're gonna finish up with FFXII and FFXIII first, THEN move on to KHIII. This is just what I've heard, I may have been misinformed.

No. Kingdom Hearts will remain Kingdom Hearts. FF4 has no recognizable plot similarities with the KH franchise. Played the first Kingdom Hearts back then; it was ok. The battlesystem was pretty good and it rivals Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. I don't really like Disney anymore though  I would definitely want to see this in KH3: - All of FF5's characters. They're just not well-noticed especially by FF6-10 fanboys. It would be pretty cool to see Mid working with FFVII's Cid and Faris traveling with a pirate ship the world over. Also, I'd like to see Gilgamesh being a minion to the main villain. - No more Cloud and Leon *cough*Squall*cough*. Their moments have been overcherised. And no more emo badass wannabes. I saw the designs for KH2's black cloaked characters, and they were bs-tastic. If Squeenix pulls this off, I would most likely get a PS2 and play the game.  |

It's very unlikely that Nomura will have any other Amano characters in the next Kingdom Hearts, considering he only used Setzer because he had a part in designing him initially. He felt relunctant as it was for both him and Vivi. Shoving in a bunch of old characters that half the fanbase of the KH series wouldn't even know who the heck they are in the first place wouldn't really be a good idea.
Then again, he hasn't used up his entire stock of characters yet. He has quite a few left to use in whatever new KH installment they make. Although really, they gave me Auron.  I'm happy as it is. Quistis wouldn't be a bad idea, they could throw her in as some sort of teacher. -------------------- |
