Hey guys and gals, what are you all doing this spring and summer? It was 60 degrees here in Chicagoland so I'm getting pumped up for summer, which is why I'm posting about spring.
![]() ![]() My bicycle is going over to the shop to get tuned up for another great summer of riding. There's a nice limestone path over here that's straight as an arrow because it used to be a railroad. This means high speed is allowed, whereas many paths restrict you to 10-12 mph. My average speed varies in the range of 16-18 mph which is why I like this path so much. Plus it goes right through a beautiful forest preserve. When I get home from work I'll post pictures from the last few years. The other fun thing I got going on is restoring my car to like-new condition. ![]() ![]() It's party time. EDIT: Here are those pics (yeah the camera is light sensitive). This post has been edited by i90east on 24th March 2004 04:08 -------------------- FFXI (Siren server) Tauu the Windurstian Tarutaru! *grumble* It's been about 15 degrees with a strong wind up here, although the weather people promise it'll get better....

It was warm a couple weeks ago, besids that, its been freezing here lately. What am I doing this summer? Working like a dog so I can move out in september-october. Not that I dislike living at home to much, I've just kinda made plans with my friend, and his father, and everything seems A-ok.

It still cold in good ole Ohio and it is not looking any warmer. As for what I am doing in spring, just keeping up with my college and student teaching life and in the summer I have to get surgery on my shoulder which will make work over the summer a living Hell!!! Lousy spring...why can't it still be winter

It was nice today. If I didn't have to go to work I would've been down at the courts playing basketball.

I dont' know how much any of you has been to northern New Hampshire. But the date on the calendar saying First Day of Spring is like Groundhog's Day to us... it symbolizes 6 more weeks of winter. The past 3 days it's been snowing, getting over about 4 additional inches to what we've already had over the winter. Forecasts call for temps of 25 and below all week. Last year, Spring didn't come until mid-May... literally. And then we had about a week and a half of spring, then it jumped right into summer with the 70s and such. Can't say I expect much different this year. But on the bright side, I get to go skiing on Easter! w00t!

For spring, I'm just going to finish running track (my last season ever, but I'm ready for it to be over.) Once that's done, me and my roommates are going to go backpacking in the Applachian mountains. Then it's straight to my summer camp in Michigan for some more trip guide fun. I'm not 100% where I'm going to get sent to this year, but the leading candidates thus far are the Minnesota Boundary Waters, Backpacking in the Rockies, and Georgian Bay Sea Kayaking. I wish I could do some bike trips, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen this year (again

Today had a high of 72, and it was nice and humid and muggy outside, which is my favorite weather by far for playing soccer or anything else (as long as the temperature isn't very hot. 70 - 75 is perfect). Playing soccer especially, which i've been doing constantly along with weightlifting (and occasionally playing racquetball)
In other words, spring makes me very happy. ![]() -------------------- SPEKKIO: "GRRR...That was most embarrassing!" |

Thanks for the photos, i90. Every so often I miss being surrounded by trees. Here in southern CA it has been spring all winter long. I haven't worn a jacket in months. I'm crazy busy with school but masochistically enjoy it.
In the summer I think I'll get a job, take it easy, read some books, make some more friends, and visit my family and friends in Connecticut. -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |
