Weel guys, i've got some questions for you all. I finisher two times the game, first with Ramza as a Monk, at lvl 60, second time, Ramza at lvl 70, having in my party Mustadio, Agrias, Orlandu, Malak, Rafa, Meliadoul, Beowulf, Reis, Worker 8, Lavian, Alicia, Rad, and other members, very powerful. But now i, for the first time, wanna take my characters at nineties, and, i just want to ask some question:
First of all, why, since i put to Ramza and my Lancer (with my own name, Mark), the Secret Hunt Skill, i don't fight as much as i fought before, and, most importantly, monsters are so fn' weak, that i never see a Taiju for poaching it in a Defender or other important weapons. Why men, Why ? Second, i'm playing another time the game, and i stole to Gafgarion his Blood Sword and i equipped to my knight, even if i stole a Diamond Sword, very powerful for Chapter II, but i also have Attack UP, so my Knights hits 130 hp with a Physical Attack. In your opinion, is better have sword, or equipment, like Wizard Robe, very powerful for stats and effect, or is better have weapons, or accessories, that gains healt points, magic point, strenght, move, jump and speed ? Third, i'm reading your walkthrough for Sides Quest, but i don't understand a lot of things. Reading another walkthrough, the second says that for ending sequence you should have Chaos Blades, Ragnaroks and Excaliburs, and your levels should be uppers than 50s. But...can you equip a Chaos Blade without level 90 ? Last, but not least, i don't understand very well how i can find items in Deep Dungeon Quote (0,6): Elixir. (9,4): Kiyomori. (2,2): Blaze Gun. (0,9): Glacier Gun and most important, i don't what are these numbers. If you can explain me all these things, i'll be very thankful to you... -------------------- #1 Italian in The Caves of Narshe :D Mercenary Dark Knight Knight: Great, here comes a crowd! Gafgarion! I can address the last two questions...
Quote (Mr.Vercetti) Third, i'm reading your walkthrough for Sides Quest, but i don't understand a lot of things. Reading another walkthrough, the second says that for ending sequence you should have Chaos Blades, Ragnaroks and Excaliburs, and your levels should be uppers than 50s. But...can you equip a Chaos Blade without level 90 ? There is no level requirement to equip weapons. I can state this as a fact as I have used a Gameshark to put 99 Chaos Blades into my inventory at the start of Chapter 1, and have been able to equip them on characters of any level. Addressing your last question about finding items in Deep Dungeon, you have to have the Move-Find Item ability set on a character to find the items there, with the exception of Chaos Blades (Ninjas throw these on one of the lowest levels, so you need the Catch reaction ability to grab them). The numbers you quoted are map coordinates for the panels on which you must move (with Move-Find Item) to get the item listed. In order for the coordinates to be accurate, you must be counting from a specific panel, listed as the Origin (and counted as 0,0) in the walkthrough. I hope that helps. ![]() |

Yes, it's very clear a part from one thing. The First number is for the horizontal, and the second for the vertical, like in real life, right ? What are you saying for Chaos Blades, ninja throwing, is similar for Excalibur and Ragnarok, or, they will throw me down just Chaos Blades ? (I Know i can find those with move-find item)

i think i might be able to answer your first question. For Taijus, they are pretty rare, and ive only seen them in the araguay/sweegy woods (which ever one is to the right of Gariland), so my solution, is to get a Trent or a woodman, and hope it lays a Taiju....then poach its baby.

Well, since the other three are answered... Equipment is more a matter of preference, and what to really raise could be debated for eternity. My preference, and the preference of many others, is to not worry about HP or MP and go with equipment that adds stats and status effects. In particular, the Blood Sword doesn't do a tremendous amount of damage, especially later on, although Zodiac has a Blood Knight build around here somewhere built for it specifically. -------------------- Wasabi Viniagrette: Mix 1/3 C rice vinegar, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp powdered wasabi. Ah, I see. Not much happens armorwise in Chapter 2, I tend to gravitate toward Green Berets for anyone who can equip one but that's just me. Although I think Wizard Robes and Wizard Mantles come out then too, depending on the character I'll sometimes still be using those at endgame. -------------------- Wasabi Viniagrette: Mix 1/3 C rice vinegar, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp powdered wasabi. Dont catch chaos blades and javelins
![]() For the first question, you can find every important poached item at the end of the game from battles, many of which in the Deep Dungeon, except two. If you want Ribbons and the best bag, you have to raise the 3rd race of the Pig things, and poach them from your party. Everything else can be found around the world. Second question is entirely prefference. Personaly I think Speed the best stat to gain, but that's just me. Third question was answered; there's no level requirement on items. Last question, that's the number of squares from the "origin", or starting point you should count from. To find the "origin", you'd have to look at whatever walkthrough you're reading. It's different for every map, depending on the author of the item locations. |

Other question: Can i raise animals with the special party (Ramza, Orlandu, Agrias, Malak, Rafa, Mustadio, Worker 8, Cloud, Meliadoul, Beowulf and Reis) ? I suppose it's better do that in chapter two or three and then go on with storyline...

You can bring the animals you've trained with you into any battle, no matter who else you bring from your team.

When you poach an enemy, it either gives you a common item or a rare item. When you went to the fur shop it probably let you have the item you didn't want, and not the Defender because it is rare. You just have to poach whatever guy drops the Defender more until you get lucky.

Sorry Vercetti, but I'm kinda gonna hijack your thread cause I don't see a FAQ that you can ask your own questions and the title of this thread is perfect.
Q: Its been a while but, do summons effect charaters on your team if they are in the blast radius? I know there was a reason I quit using them and I think thats it. They took too long to cast and the monster kept moving in range of my people if I casted it on them, or they moved out of range if I casted it beside them. |

IIRC, the Summon blast radius leaves the tile under your characters uncolored.

Quote (Dark Paladin @ 9th May 2007 19:30) IIRC, the Summon blast radius leaves the tile under your characters uncolored. To clarify, Summon spells differentiate between allies and enemies. Damaging summons will only ever hurt enemies, even if you target one of your allies, and healing summons will only ever heal your allies, even if you target an enemy. I like to use that to my advantage - I cast a summon spell with a long charge time on one of my characters, telling it to target the Unit rather than the panel. Then, when the targetted character gets a turn, I move him or her towards the enemy so that the spell will hit them while my summoner can remain at a safe distance. |

Turn your character in to a chicken with Beowulf and make sure it has move find item. if your in the general area of the hidden item and you randomly move on the square you are almost guaranteed the better hidden item and there's a lot of em. Oh and try to get that character brave as low as possible and make sure use you dont like them very much. Kill all but one of the enemies and haver Beowulf put the last one to sleep. You only have one chance to get the good item and if you return to the floor of the dungeon to get it again it will be a trap. and once you have all th goods you can remove that character or build its stats up again for all your its hard work

Bonjour
![]() I've just one question (well, for now ![]() I've invited a Trent ennemy to my party, and this way I want him to have eggs, and, hopefully, Taijus... Well, it doesn't work that good, since I have only other Trents and Woodmans... No Taiju at all !!! Where are my Defenders ![]() Does somebody have a clue ? Maybe I'm still too early in the game, since I've just fought Zalmo for the first time. So, early chapter 3. Thanks for your reply. PS : I'm more into having fast classes, and then, I focus on boosting Physical... |

Persistence is my best advice, Tassadar. Either poach or kick all but one or two of your Trents and Woodmen, and then resume running back and forth on the map. To the best of my knowledge, eggs can hatch into any of the three levels of monster, regardless of chapter, it just takes persistence to get the one you want.

Actually after you poach a monster, if you go to the fur shop and save before you enter the shop, you can than take advantage of which item comes from the results. if you get the common item, simply restart until you get the rare item. for example, if I poached an Uribo, & saved when I reached the fur shop than check in, if I got a Maiden's Kiss instead, I can simply soft-restart & check again unitl I get the Cachusha. -------------------- In order to find your oppenent's weakness, you must first learn their pattern.
