Having trouble with Ribbon/Limit Leveling

Hey everybody,

I started the battle arena today but I missed the chance to get ribbon when I was in the Cetra temple. You can apparently morph it from Master Tonberry, but that creature is located in the Northern Crater, and I do not know how far down I have to go, and my fear is I may have to go too far to get it. I don't seem to have an enormous amount of trouble with it, (the Battle Arena) however, if I get some of the creatures that cast "bad breath", or "confu", I end up one-shotting myself with a 4x cut, or I will remain in frog/sleep mode and the creature just slowly pecks away at my health while all I can do is just sit there and watch. So my question is, am I able to still acquire Ribbon from that creature while still being able to go back to the world map?

My second issue is, I have ran through most of the content of the game (I am in the beginning of disc 3) and most of my characters are only in the mid-50's range, with only Nanaki having his level 4 limit (Cloud has his level 3, the rest have their level 2) and I was wondering where would be the best place to level up limits? I see most are just killing creatures (hello Battle Arena?) but for some of the ones require to use the previous limit X amount of times. Where's a good place to "train" so that I can quickly satisfy those limit requirements? I have all of the level 4 limits waiting in my inventory but I can't use any of them yet. This website's guides/walkthroughs have been marvelously helpful for getting all of the sneaky, hidden stuff, but I am looking for something in a little bit more detail. I have tried the Ancient Forest (and completed it) but I felt like there had to be a better place that would do the trick more efficiently. (I understand the Hyper trick too, since Fury helps generate limit levels faster)

Thanks!

1) Yes, you can morph Tonberries and still exit the Crater without committing to beating the game.

2) I'd recommend Wutai--lots, of weak enemies in each battle, one of whom, the bird-type enemy, casts a bolt spell capable of getting you your limit.

well. if u have the slash-all materia. u just have to go to a place with weak enemies that come in 4 or 5 and kill all of them with one character. i'd recommend the beach area near gold saucer. ( beachplugs come in 4 or 5 ).
This way u kill enough enemies for ur next limit break really easy and fast. might be a little annoying entering in battle 10 times in a row. but is the easiest way.

and when u got the first one of all your limit breaks, go to gelnika ( the sunken airplane near gold saucer ) and fight the enemies there. do NOT use barrier or strong summons or materia, kill them slow. so they have chance to attack and ur limit break bar can grow faster. be aware that this monster can kill u if u dont heal ur party frecuently. This monsters also give u a lot of AP so, use weapons and armor with materia normal materia grow. and last.. Save ur game in time to time. just in case some of the unknowns kills u.

You've probably already completed the game by now but I'm just curious, I thought there was a second ribbon that you can find in the game (besides morphing that little turtle dude in the final dungeon), even if you missed the one in the Temple of the Ancients. Anybody know if that's true? It's been a while since I played FFVII but I thought I had two ribbons in my party (long before the Northern Crater).

If you're looking to get limits early, one trick I've found quite effective is to travel to Fort Condor, rest up/save, then head towards Junon as far as the forests. Running around in the forest has two possible encounters; a group of five Capparwires, or a group of three Formulas. The Formulas are good for damaging all your characters at once to bring up their limits, and the Capparwires typically die in one, maybe two shots from a casting of Matra Magic, making them excellent targets for getting the kill count requirement.

The Tonberries are pretty early in the dungeon, but do be wary of their nastiness. =P

Honestly, you can cream the game at level fifty without any of the best limits. If you still really want them, Wutai is a good place as has been suggested. Also, the enemies there drop X-Potions, which are super useful.

You can get a second Ribbon at Gaea's Cliff. I don't remember in which point exactly, though. I think that it was a little bit after entering the Cliff...
