My Ailment wont go away!

Im in WOR and I just left Narshe. I was testing Umaro just outside of Narshe when Sabin go this ailment but then the fight ended. I went to heal it out of battle but it says hes fine. So then Id go back in battle and its there again. and again. and again. and again. Nothing will heal it in or out of battle. through accesories ive narrowed it down to Berserk, Muddled, Silenced and Condemned all at once. How do I get rid of this! The only way to keep playing now would be to a) leave him out of group (which isnt an option)
 equip him with a ribbon and safety bit at all times. Has anyone ever had this problem! What do I do. |

Ha. Yea, that just might be the problem. haha. I wasnt aware it gave those effects. I just knew I had to equip it for 255 battles to get it uncursed. guess ill just use the ribbon and safety bit then to nullify the effects and work on the shield. Thanks alot.
