I'm having issues with breeding a Blue Chocobo...

At this point, I'm just about to give up playing... I wasted all these Syklis Greens and time to get them up to S-Class, and I'm nothing is giving me the blue one.

Great Male + Good Female + Carob Nut = Green Chocobo
Great Female + Good Male + Carob Nut = Green Chocobo

( and just to be silly)
Great Male + Great Female + Carob Nut = Green Chocobo
Good Male + Good Female + Carob Nut = Green Chocobo

Anyone have any other ideas, because I'm all out.

I have a guide here I copied off the net some time ago, and according to this... the process for making blues and greens is exactly the same and you have to 'repeat this process to get a chocobo of the other colour and opposite sex'. In other words, it's entirely random and all you can do is keep trying for hours on end until you get lucky.

This is why I never breed chocobos.

I'm not an expert on breeding, but this should help. flag-blue.gif

Ended up finally getting a Blue Chocobo... Apparently it has something to do with feeding regular yellow chocobos Sylkis greens... If you feed them to both of the ones your breeding, you keep getting the green one.

Tested it by breeding my S-Class, fully stat-maxxed from Sylkis gree Good male with a non-raced C-class, no green fed Good female and actually got a Blue chocobo. If a sylkis green was fed to the C-Class, it would immediately produce a Green chocobo on breeding. (this was tested multiple times)

Unfortunately, this produced a blue with a terrible run speed (85), so then started testing other combinations... finally tested breeding the S-Class, Fully stat-maxxed form sylkis Green Chocobo with a C-class, non-raced, non-fed Great chocobo and managed to get a Blue Chocobo with over 100 speed (120+ after feeding it its greens).

Apparently theres more to breeding than even any of the guides online have (including Absolute Steve's guide, which is so complete it seems like it had everything).

I just started breeding Chocobos. It's such a long and tedious task. I haven't played in weeks because I'm not looking forward to doing it anymore.
