I was lookin around google the other day, and noticed some people on another forum talking about maximizing stats for characters with espers. Specifically Mag power and Vigor. Though some people said Speed was an option as well on the PSX version because of a +2 speed esper.
But then i started thinkin about it. Wouldnt it depend on what level you first got espers? The first esper you get that will modify your magic is a +1 from Stray when you get to Zozo. You dont get a +1 Vigor until Ifrit at the Magitek Facility, and then immediately afterwards you get Bismark for a +2 Vigor. You cant get the +2 Magic esper Zoneseek until just before the floating continent right at the end of WoB. So then are their pre-determined "minimum" levels that people have figured out already that you can be to get to these espers? Since the lower level you get them the higher you can get their stats. If so what are they? Also, whats the easiest way you've found to verify a character has either bismark or zoneseek when they level up? I noticed at the floating continent i seemed to level up very quickly, and it was easy to miss an esper switch for a level up. Any tricks people have noticed that make this easier so your less likely to miss it. One last thing. Do people not in your current party ever level up? I know they do in other final fantasy's, but wasnt sure about this one. I dont think they do in this one, but im not sure. If not then this paragraph is mute. But just to make sure, if they do, can they get a bonus from an esper if its on them when they level when not in the group, and if so whats the best way to make sure they also get the right esper at that time, since theres really no good way to switch party members quickly. |

Quote But then i started thinkin about it. Wouldnt it depend on what level you first got espers? ya, but Im assuming you asked that question just to get this thread started. Quote I noticed at the floating continent i seemed to level up very quickly, and it was easy to miss an esper switch for a level up. Any tricks people have noticed that make this easier so your less likely to miss it. by the way, are you running away from unneccessary battles? I'm just wondering what drive you to do this hardcore... experiment? you do realize that keeping minimum levels until you get espers you want will be pain, you won't be able to enjoy the game. Besides, even after WoR, you will have plenty of level to maximize certain stats and even without it, FF6 isn't that hard. but then I guess they may be someone who can help you with this ![]() -------------------- I will be there... |

The only thing you ahve to worry about in this game are the weapons you have and the Genji Glove and healing spells and the INT stat that raises the damage of hurting spells and the healing of curing spells.
