I liked the Professor from VI, the Judge from FFT, and the Headmaster from VIII (even though they all basically suck) I'll null vote.

FF7 definately he is so cool, but why is he always so old in all of them?

FF7 cid was the best in my opinion... probably because he was the only real playable cid (that i'm aware of)

Just to be different, I'm voting for Cid in FF VI - I didn't particularly like him, but i did like the fact that I could

Man, I wonder how I didn't see this thread before.
My favorite Cid would have to be VII... it was a close one between IV and VII but I had to go with VII... I just really like the attitude that he has in VII. -------------------- Climhazzard is the timeless evil robot who runs some of the cool stuff at CoN (mostly logging chat, since there are no quizzes at the moment), all the while watching and waiting for his moment to take over the world. -Tiddles |

I loved the Cid & Mid from FFV. They both were very memorable after
Possible spoilers: highlight to view and then later on Karnak Castle was blown up because of this quote "If you mess up, you can always start over again and improve." Possible spoilers: highlight to view after they gave your characters a submarine, it captured my heart to hear them saying that they can't fight, but they can atleast help the characters. I also liked the Cid from FFVII. He was cool. But he had problems which made him second instead of first. Reason: The Shera hate. It makes Cid Highwind sound gay when he's being negative to his wife. My third favorite is Regent Cid from FFIX. I loved how he always said <gwok!> or <ribbit!> while he was inflicted with the abnormal status "Oglop" or "Toad." The worst one is between FFVIII's and FFIV's. I HATED Cid Krammer. He lost his coolness. WTF, he's a school principal?? That just makes me embarassed for playing FFVIII. And FFIV's had no memorable message or any morals that could really please me. All he did was treat some muted Dark Knight like his own son and jumping off an airship.. OMG! So memorable when he jumped off!! =P |

I tend to think of them more as the forgiving 'kiss-and-make-up' type. I liked him a lot though. And Cid in FFX, as mentioned before, when he was so terribly sad. Ah yes. FFVII Cid. I like how they refreshed CId by making him a spear chuckin cigar smokin dirty moutin pilot. Nothing can compare

I would say FFT's Cidolfas Orlandu and FFVII's Cid Highwind. The Holy Swordsman and the foul-mouthed pilot.

Suprisingly, I voted FF4 cid. As stated in an earlier post:
Possible spoilers: highlight to view he jumps off an airship, blows himself up, and LIVES! I don't know why, but for some reason I didn't use Cid in FFVII that much.... -------------------- Neneko is Neneko because Neneko couldn't be Neneko if Neneko wasn't Neneko! --as quoted from Neneko, Mahoraba {Heartful Days} I can stab a man with a thick paperback book thru the ribcage. |

My vote went up to T.G. Cid, because I'm probably biased....*cough* Anyway, Orlandu was likeable enough for me, he was a relatively old man who could still kick everyones ass.
If I had more votes my 2nd pick would be Cid Highwind from FF7 for obvious reasons, then Cid from ff9 just cause he was an interesting character. |

FFIX's Cid made me laugh. A lot. I can't say that about the other Cids I'm familiar with.

A very difficult decision.....
FFT's Cid or FFVII's Cid........ I'll go with FFVII, Cid Highwind, b/c he's just kind of a badass and has jump (plus TG Cid just makes an already easy game just too easy) |

I voted Cid from FF9. An oglop! With a moustache! Hee hee.
FF6's Cid looks like Kenny from South Park, but yellow! -------------------- 'Bastards, we may be, but clever are we.' Thorn, FFIX |

It makes Cid Highwind sound gay when he's being negative to his wife. It think Cid is repulsed by the idea of Shera being his wife. I don't think they are married. Possible spoilers: highlight to view She probably sticks with him because of the guilt of ruining his dream. I think I already voted for IV's Cid. He jumped off an airship, blew himself up and LIVED! He was also a very well needed funny character. Do you think it's a coincidence you get Edge and Rydia after you lose him? I voted for FFIV Cid. He was one of the coolest characters in that game. Who else could blow themselves up and not die?

Final Fantasy VII Cid was the greatest, well atleast coolest. His sweet spear and the cigarette. So stylish... But who could forget Final Fantasy IV Cids epic firework sacrifice that he didn't actually die from... just ended up old and crippled... of wait, thats not a change. Hahaha.
