I voted FF VII's, because of the attitude and the fun (he says really crappy things in french, it's so funny
 ).The most powerful would be T.G. Cid, but I don't really consider him a 'Cid' : he's not in the whole engineer trade as the others. |

I'm sorry, I never played FF VIII long enough to learn about Cid, but I trust your word on it. If that's true, then my feelings for that game have just gone worse... |

Ohmigods! I voted FF VII...
The point: Cid = usually great char. Highwind = always badass Cid Highwind = ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Oh yeah, FF II's Cid is pretty cool too. (Always saves princess and heros.) Oh yeah... I....can't....decide! All the Cids were cool and unique in their own way. There was only one that I really didn't like and that was the one from FF8. He kinda blew. Poor guy, he could have been made much better...

Hmm...Cid's minute-long plummet from the airship in FFIV is one of the more memorable moments in FF history, but I was forced to go with FFVII's Cid. Badass, plain and simple.

Cidolfis Orlandu in FFT is okay but he makes every battle he participates in from the point you get him ridicuosly easy, FFVII Sid waas sweet with his badass demeanor and sweet limit breaks(and it was funny toi use him with his spoof weapon "the mop"

Well friends, I find its only between Cid Pollendina and Cid Highwind. These guys were actually characters you could use. I haven't played Tactics but from my knowledge any Cid that can fight is fine in my books.
Cid Pollendina- This guy put Edge back in perspective with some great lines on him. He was the only guy who could reach 9999 hp. He was invaluble in the struggle against Possible spoilers: highlight to view .Zemus Cid Highwind- Now this guy is a legend but he had no Edge to unleash his material on. At one point he showed more depth than Cloud. He also had some of the best one liners in the game and wielded a spear. T.G.Cid- The closest I've seen this guy in action is the flash series FFF. Which is pretty sad. I only know him from reputation. And I'am impressed but given his uniqueness as a Cid. I can't compare him to the two Cids I mentioned already. In the end my vote went to the underdog between Highwind and Pollendina. |

Cid from final fantasy tactics is God. He can't be beaten. I went through a battle with only him on my team and lightning stabed all the enemies to death. He is a lot stronger than the Cid in final fantasy vii.
The only reason why I said that Cid in ffvii is cooler is because of his attitude. Cid is a pimp in vii. -------------------- I will be the mustard of your doom! |

Bandwagon time, yipee. FF7 Cid is the best in my book. His backstory is great, he looks cool, and is a kick-ass fighter. He also made it onto the "Best FF character" thread (that I tallied up and posted the results for), coming in #8, check it out if you want.
Cid from FF8: I thought he was dumb. The FF6 one was okay but just not such a big character. FF4 and FF9 Cids were cool too, but I had more fun being around Cid and Mid from FF5. -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

I'd have to say FFVII's Cid. Like everyone else that has chosen him, he was pretty tough and foul-mouthed. Plus, he was a great character and pretty strong, whereas the other Cids that have joined your party (from the ones I've seen) aren't as strong.

The Cid in FFIX, I liked him as an oglop, the Cid in FF Tactics Advance was cool and he joins your clan when U beat all 300 Missions in the Game (I'm soo close I have 299 out of the 300 missions in the game completed, yay!). And to answer DP's question about a Cid in FFX, yes there is one.

The best Cid is Cid Highwind he's just funny...
He says cuss words everytime he speaks even when he has some guests in his house... Cid Highwind, I compare hime to my father... The Cid from FF7 was great. A crusty old codger who's mother would clean his mouth out with ultra-strength disinfectant/lysol everyday for 60 years. Gotta love it!
