please read it all, it´s worth it!
You can endless gain levels or level materia . but sth. missing till the trick would work perfectly. The trick: combine "First Hit"-materia with the materia where your character performs 4 attacks(in german it´s "Erstschlag" combined with "4-fach-Schlag") for all your characters. Then search for a place on the world map where enemies give good exp and ap. start walking in one direction constantly, this means your character will move in circles FOREVER!! When a fight begins, all enemies will be slashed before they can even move. so you lose no hp nor mp. If you lay sth heavy on your direction button this works by itself forever. But the problem is: after a fight the menue for the exp and stuff opens and you need to confirm it to go back to the world map. for psx version of the game this means you need a special controller where you can active rapid buttons.. but i own a pc version of the game. i found this lie on the internet but still want to try it:) but waste no time with it. http://ffaddiction.fateback.com/ff7aeris.html does anyone know how i can emulate a rapid fire button on my keyboard?? any algorithm or so?? so i can sleep while everyhing levels up. |

Wow, that's probably the best hoax I've seen yet. It's amazing what people are doing with photoshop these days. Still the same classic result, coax people into wasting lots of time with zero results. I don't know who runs that site but I'd be ashamed to even host such a page.
If you want to spend the time to try it be my guest, I would love to hear your results. This is one time I'd love to be proven wrong. |

yeah, i only need a controller emulator oder button emulator as I said, ´cause I ain´t want waste no time either.
I think it´s sad for the site because the look of it is pretty good. I also was wondering if such wrong information is not illigal... but i think it is not ![]() |

if you have a turbo controller, and set up your materia just right. press turbo on the confirm button (circle) and stand still in the midgar zolom swamp
you will keep attacking it, though it takes a while. the turbo circle should be enough to get you through the menus at the end of the battle....might be worth a shot -------------------- Aujourdhui a commence avec toi. |

I just clicked on the sites contact info and it appears the entire site is run be teenagers. I'm going to guess that they found this info elsewhere and added it to their site without bothering to test it out themselves.
I did a google search for aeris + lili anderson and this same info is floating all over the place. Here's another spot with his/her same guide with comments below it. I love how the time consuming part is the first step. What a joke. Unless you're playing the game and doing some sort of handicap challenge who the hell rolls around on the 3rd disc still wielding the Buster Sword? And who just out of the blue decides to gather and use 4 tissues next to Aeris's bed? I also love how in step #5 where there are no screenshots of the scene or dialog that Cait Sith is supposed to take part in. Also if "Resurrect" appears on your materia menu then it should also appear on your magic menu. Where's the doctored pics of it there with a doctored description? |

how would you be moving in circles? you would walk in a straight line until you hit some sort of wall, and if its on an angle you will follow the wall until you hit a corner, in which case nothing will happen because your not moving, so you wont encounter any monsters am i right?

no not exactly:)
on the world map you can chose the camera view(sorry for my english) if you chose the standard view you walk a straight line, but if you chose the flexible caamera rotation the camera will always try to follow you of course and so you´re gonna move in circles with endless enemy encounters |

I've achieved at least one of these infinite leveling loops, and let me warn you that there are some flaws:
1) Reliance on hard to acquire materia/materia that consumes a lot of MP. While you can Gameshark in that HP <-> MP materia on disc 1, if you're already using a cheat device, why stop there? 2) Encounters reset the camera. This doesn't sound like an issue until you've tried it and realized that this means you'll slowly move from your initial training location. Yes, you run to the left perpetually, but you run directly to the camera's left, and it chases, meaning it's not facing the same way as your character. When it resets, you start running directly to the camera's left again, which has changed - thus changing the circle you're running in. It's a little complex, and I wish I had a diagram to explain it. 3) Certain occurrences can break them. If it hangs on a specific character, odds are that by continuing it for a long time, that character will wind up dying. You can take precautions, and the best precautions require difficult to acquire materia that's already well-trained (Mastered Phoenix + Mastered Final Attack, for example). Alternatively, if it relies on Sneak Attack, the flaw should be obvious - even mastered, it only has an 80% activation rate. 4) Requirement of a Turbo controller. While they are out there, they seem to be getting harder and harder to come by these days (and I work for a video game retailer that thrives on third party product sales). If you really want a game in which you can set up an infinite leveling loop, stick with FFXII - the Gambit and combat systems eliminate most of the issues mentioned here, and give you tools for countering the few remaining. ![]() |

seriously, just get to the midgar zolom swamp. set up your attacks, with hp absorb and mp absorb, pheonix final attack, etc. then just go in there. you dont even have to move. just pressing circle will get you through all of the menus. all you need is a turbo controller. it is the easiest level loop ever....

i am sorry. you don´t read my first post carefully enough.
points 1 to 3 are no problem for the materia combination i use. i never lose any hp or mp. please read the first post again. point 4) is right but I already mentioned it in my topic.. this is the only problem remaining. AND I HAVE TO SAY I DO NOT USE GAME SHARK, DON`T eVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS. I DON`T USE ANY CHeATS EITHER. THAT SUCKS. I didn´t use any sort of walkthrough or anything. I found out all secrets by myself(and i mean all) except the use of the grand materia in cosmo canyon. that one last remaining secret I got told one day by a friend who also found out everything by himself. and i know about the circle - problem which is actually no problem anymore if you chose your starting position wisely. And that thing about midgar zolom.. he doesn´t give enough exp or ap and besides.. the problem no. 4 with the autofire remains the same... CHOCOBOS TOTALLY RULE:)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've written a few auto-levelling plans in my time.
Quote (sweetdude) My friend and I found that for first disc levelling, the Head Hunters in the Mideel Area are the way. You can fight them in teams of four so they can also be good for getting limits. If you don't fancy trekking all the way down the northern crater then try them out. 80AP x 4 enemies x triple growth = 960AP. Easy when you can just use Flash or Slash-All to win the fight. wink.gif And like I say, you're right on the world map so you won't have to climb the distance to use your newly powered materia. Alternatively you could use an auto-levelling technique. Here's one I use. Requires a rapid pad. With the set-up below, just tape down your "circle" and "up". Cloud will run into a cliff or coastline and go left then right as long as the camera is in the right position. The only problem is getting good enough tape to keep the buttons down. Equip: (you're wanting growth, you get growth!) Weapon - Anything with double or triple growth e.g. Ragnarok, Scimitar, Rune Blade Armour - Rune Armlet Accessory - Cat's Bell Materia: (just put what you want levelled, but here's a few musts) Pre-Emptive materia is an unsung legend of FFVII, use it! I'd advise against Enemy Lure, you want plenty of time to let the Cat's Bells do their stuff, unless you want to level one up obviously. I'd recommend using a Slash-All or Mega-All to kill the enemies the fastest, basic attack can let them beat you around for a while. If you want a bit of security, you could have a mastered Cover with someone who has four or five mastered Counter-Attacks. If you're doing this make sure you're fighting opponents who only use physical attacks. If you left that overnight I'm sure you'd have a few new materias in the morning. When I was using something similar to get Vincent to kill 65500 enemies, I fought against the flies in the Temple of the Ancient forest. They would be ideal for your AP needs. A guy who left CoN said that Sea Worms were good too. They can be found on the Mideel coastline and have 200AP a shout. Quite easy if you stick to basic attacks. Even if you don't take this on board, hopefully there's some random bits of usefulness somewhere. The earliest auto-levelling I've done is the guard station just before you attack the second reactor in Midgar. I can't find the technique anymore, but it basically involves levelling up manually at the start of the game, then setting up a turbo pad so that Cloud runs into the soldiers then chooses to run out the screen again after. It works! Quote (adi13th @ 5th July 2008 22:58) point 4) is right but I already mentioned it in my topic.. this is the only problem remaining. I used a plectrum to hold a key down once. I don't know how to make it rapid though. These kind of things defy the whole point of an RPG. You're SUPPOSED to spend time leveling, it's part of the game. If you wanna level faster all you have to do is wait until 3rd disc, take a lot of Elixirs (W-Item rules) and fight the magic pots. 8000 EXP and 1000 AP per pot. And don't forget the Movers. No EXP but one group (they always come in groups of three) yields 2400 AP. And they're easy to kill.
EDIT: You could also build up some GP at the Gold Saucer and buy the EXP Up Materia. At level one it gives somewhere around 40% more EXP. Master it and you'll level about as fast as you did in the beginning of the game. This post has been edited by Squishee69 on 29th August 2008 04:33 |
