this is annoying when I'm trying to move files from one window to another or using microsoft word.
What happens is when I hold my left click (i don't know about right click since I don't have to hold right click that often). sometimes I'm still holding left click, but my computer rapidly clicks the left click in system (sometimes once, sometimes multiple times). so the result? I might be highlighting a word or phrase in microsoft word and end up clicking different windows behind (and there are infinite number of things that can happen). Or moving a file and end up putting it in the wrong folder. so can anyone tell me what I can do to deal with this? Is there computer option to decrease mouse sensitivity? (I'm using windows XP) or is it 100% the mouse? (The mouse I was using before had low sensitivity due to overuse lawl) -------------------- I will be there... |

I have the same problem.
Edit: as a side note, mine started doing it after my mouse got some age on it. I don't know about clicking background windows... but if trying to hold a mouse button down causes multiple clicks, it's usually because the microswitch for that button in the mouse has physically given up. If that's the case, I'm afraid it's time for a new mouse - although if you really like the old one, it might be possible to get a new microswitch and do some soldering magic.

Mine has been doing it to me since the last time my computer got reformatted. I've messed with all the mouse options, changed the sensitivity, etc. but nothing seems to work
