That was on the PC version though. What's the best for the PS1 version anyone?

My best is 26hrs and something.

I dont tend to rush through games unless its the point of the game to be fast i.e. Ninja Gaiden

Umm yea....If you leveled everyone to 99 then I am willing to bet anything that 25:38 is not possible.

I think probably the fastest I can remember finishing it is around 40 hours but then, that's completing everything there is to do and skipping nothing for time's sake.

In my freshman year of high school myself and three friends did an "FF VII marathon" where each of us played on a separate TV in the same house, racing to see who finished the game first. The only trick involved - no memory cards allowed. If we died, we had to start at the very beginning, and as a result, some of us got in a little over our heads and died by underleveling - I was in the lead when I died at the Temple of Ancients around six hours in, but the winner was my friend David, who beat the game in eighteen hours. After each of his three competitors each died once, he took his sweet time leveling up and even doing sidequests while the rest of us were desperately playing catch-up. I was near the beginning of disc 3 when he won.

That's not hard at all. I've got 2 mastered KotRs and two Master Magics and I've only been playing some 30-odd hours. Plus everyone's lvl 99 and has their final Limit. So, what are you willing to bet? shifty.gif

That's by far the most awesome thing I've ever heard. It's just too bad none of my friends play or like Final Fantasy games, haha.

I tried the 'Perfect Game' method I found on a guide, and it took me 18 months and about 750 hours, silly stuff including 99 of every item without the w-item trick.

RPG racing?

hmmm, If I want it too I could beat the game in under 7 hours, of course I'd miss Leviathan, Bahamut Zero, Odin, all the optional stuff you know what I mean. If it's just beating the game. I'm pretty confident I can do the first two disc in about 6 hrs and 20 min...

I have to do try this!!!

It's not really a major accomplishment, anyone with a sufficient lack of life can do the same thing.

I trained in the swamp area of the Northern Cave, with the Scimitar, Apocolapyse, and Rising Sun, and 3 Rune Armlets. Materia levels quick that way. The Limits was the hardest part, had to pay attention when fighting Master Tonberry's to get Everyone's Grudge to hit right.
