I have a problem I don't really understand. For some reason, when I click on the link enter the FFT section, the page never loads. I initially assumed it was my computer, but the problem has persisted, and I don't seem to have any problem getting into other sections, so now I'm just confused. Any help would be great.

Not something I have seen elsewhere or can replicate at this moment. Can you tell us what browser you use? And how long the problem has been occurring? And whatever Tiddles also is bound to ask?

I just don't know. I can't think of why this particular section would be causing problems, when the code that reaches the client is not critically different from any other section.

Well, the first time I tried to go there I backed out before the page finished loading, and after that, I haven't been able to get it to load at all. I just get blank white, not even an error message.
Oh, and here's all the specs of my computer which pertain to the internet.(as far as I know) OP:Windows NT(God help me) modem:Supposedly 56K(though it's never gone faster than 48.0) browser:Microsoft Internet Explorer ISP:IQuest After I posted, I went to try again, and the problem seems to have fixed itself. Odd... -------------------- *END TRANSMISSION* |

You'd probably somehow cached a broken version of that page, and somehow you'd only get a Not Modified response when trying to refresh the page (you did do that, right, not just keep rocking back and clicking on a link to get in again? The process is different).
As a side note, a 56K modem very rarely would go above that speed. 56Kbps is the absolute maximum bandwidth, where your throughput will always be reduced by line noise (especially over dialup), and even then, not every bit you send or receive is useful data to you: a fair bit of the bandwidth gets used up in invisible communication protocols. The side note was longer than the main note, how about that. |
