ok, i am at the end of the sixth day and i am trying to beat eve. it's a two stage battle, the first being against eve, who has a top, middle, and bottom to defeat, and the second being against eve's final form, which is a b****. i've only been able to squeak by the first form twice, and both times i have had my world dominated. i've checked a few guides, and basically they say what i already know. i was hoping someone here might have some help, since there isn't any turning back from the battle. i either beat it or... keep stalling.

You think that's bad, do the EX game. I still have never beaten the final boss of the Chrysler Building. :\

Seems like a simple question, since you've been checking guides, but have you used all of your Bonus Points and Tools to try to upgrade your weapon and armor? You're going to want a lot of Range, for sure, and as much PE Defense and Physical Defense as you can muster.

Of course, you'll also want to have Full Recover and Liberate learned, which surely you do, again given that you say that the guides are saying what you already know. The best part is once you get past the whole boss, you still might not even be able to finish the game, because the post-boss part is a pain in the butt no matter how many times you play it.

For all that, though, kudos for playing it - it's still one of my top two or three Square games ever.

Hmm, actually, for me, the battle that usually pissed me off was the Ultimate Being, or at least like the third or fourth form. The last battle with Eve was actually a breeze for me in both forms.

Probably the most important thing in that battle is to keep Haste on yourself at all times and make sure you get out of the way for when Eve flies in the air to charge up her attack. Just move out of the general direction to ensure that you don't get hit by the attack even though you can't see where you're going.

I haven't played the game in a while, but I know that that's the main thing from that battle.

Her first form can cause a defense down status that is annoying... can't remember what it is linked to but watch for that. On form 2 Liberate helps...

What do you have? Equipment? Level?

For a gun I use a machine gun with all of the negative effects striped off for fastest rate of fire. Standing still is bad in this game.

In all honesty the only thing I can recommend is a good rifle for the range , toss on command x2, acid,burst, and tranq. the armor I can't say anything about. But yeah I used that rifle set-up for good bit and it worked for me...but I say go for what makes you comfortable. and on her next form take the advice everyone here to heart it will save your bum more times than you like.
