It may be in Japanese, and the game it's from still way out of reach from our Canadian and American hands (further out of the reach for you folks in the UK and beyond) but here it is. The Intro Movie for FFX-2, courtesy of www.rpgamer.com

That link will also take you to a few other tasty bits of footage.

For the intro itself, I liked it well enough. It first opens up into an arena that I was sure was going to be blitzball. Instead, we get Yuna, first in her summoner's outfit. She changes classes, into her pop singer costume. While she sings a song in Japanese that is catchy, but sounds like the same sentence over and over, Rikku and FFX newbie Paine cause mischief in the audience. An interesting, colourful intro (though Rikku's braids still look very very fake, even in FMV) leaving the viewer with lots of questions (one of which may be "Why??" for those of you still against FFX-2 on principle).

on that subject, i recently heard in a UK PS2 magazine, P2, that FFx-2 is apparently relesed in August. yet, on a 40k website, i have heard decmber for a UK realse- yet , i still know of no US release date. anyone got anything about either coutrys relase date
(BTW i am at least 90% certain the august date is false. december release in the UK is possible- but barely.)

and, onto the main point of the thread...
i cant get the thing to load. d'oh! is it really worth trying?

I'm guessing it's not loading because it's a huge file and it likely won't show anything to you until it's all loaded.  Thus, you'd have to wait for the whole thing to do.  I'd suggest right-clicking and saving the file to your computer.  But if you want to know what goes on in the movie, here's the spoiler version of it... (I really recommend watching it, though, because it's really great).

SPOILER ALERT!  Highlight to view:
Yuna walks out on stage and changes her clothes instantly into a pop-ish outfit.  She sings a song, while dancing, and the whole like.  It's like a Yuna concert.  Some backup people teleport in so there are three on stage dancing.  Then Rikku is watching her from afar when a guard comes up from behind her and pokes her with a nightstick.  She then beats the crap out of him.  Some scenes from battle are shown, like changing jobs, and some various attacks.  One of the main ones shown seems to be gambler, they show someone, I think Rikku, throwing dice, like Setzer might.  Then they show an airship that kinda looks like the ragnarok in FF8.  Then, back to the concert.  Yuna dances more, then a guard attacks Paine.  Paine beats the crap out of him.  Then Paine and Rikku both kinda come onto the stage, or fly by in these weird things.  I'm not sure what they're doing.  But then the song comes to a close, and FFX-2 is shown with the game logo behind it.  It's a cool video.
One thing that I really noticed was that during the airship scene, there's a little thing in the top that says "Story Lv. 3, Completed 3%" so I'm wondering if it's going to be non-linear.
