My favourite would have to be Last Crusade for sure. But with Raiders of the Lost Ark close behind it.

I'm seeing the 4th Indy movie on monday with my mates, is it any good?

I've seen number 4 recently, but i can't really vote since i don't remember the other movies.

-About Indiana Jones 4-
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
The movie is actually pretty good and exciting to watch, but the ending equals the time-compression ending of FF8 if you ask me.

The Last Crusade. Can't top that awesome father/son story.

My favorite is Raiders of the Lost Ark. Best villain, best girl, great adventure all around. I'm probably going to see Indy 4 sometime this week.

I was meant to see Skull last night and, uh, didn't make it out. Maybe tonight.

I'm really surprised to see that so many people prefer Crusade, because having just watched the original three all again, it really did kind of seem possibly the weakest in terms of at least dialogue. However, that said, it's a great plot, has some fantastic scenes, and has both Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. Critics' lists be damned, I think I go with Crusade as well with Ark a very close second.

I'm gonna go with Raiders of the Lost Ark. Great balance between comedy and action. I mean really, he fights Nazis, and I point to the climax and the ending. Classic.

I do love Last Crusade, it's quite hilarious and he's back to busting Nazi heads. But I think the humor/action ratio is a bit tilted into humor. Granted, it does have some classic lines. ::Throws Nazi out the window of a zeppelin:: "...No ticket."

Temple of Doom freaked me out when I was a kid, and it still a little spooky to me when I watched all three last week.

I definitely agree with the majority here. The last Crusade is brilliant. So much fantastic comedy and great action. For some reason the first doesn't seem to keep my attention as much, but I will try watching it again some time soon. The second one is good too, but I really dislike the yukky bits. Not my kind of thing.

edit: Oh yes, and number 4 is great fun, although it is difficult to take seriously at any point.
I must agree, the ending doesn't work as well as you feel it should, but good it's enough for me anyway.

Just like half of everyone else in this forum, i haven't seen crystal skull yet, but, of the original trilogy, i prefer the Last Crusade. Everything about that movie is awesome, and who can say no to the amazing-ness of sean connery? laugh.gif

I can't argue with everyone here, Last Crusade was brilliant and of course, Harrison Ford and Sean Connery together is simply magical...but I have to agree with what someone else had said earlier, Raiders is still my favorite. Best Villain, Best Girl and it definitely had the most impact on me. I mean, the scene when they open the Ark is one of those movie moments you absolutely never forget.

I like the Temple of Doom. It lacked the Nazis and the Biblical artifact hunting, but it had a unique adventure to it. Plus the sacrifice scene was awesome!

Last Crusade is my fav. Even though I voted for Temple of Doom. (accidently)

Havn't seen the new one yet but i've heard good things about it. I'll probably just wait til it's on the box though.

I am so sorry that I have to admit this, but I've never seen an Indiana Jones movie. I null-voted.

I know...I'm deprived.

Like Harlequin, I, too, have never seen an Indiana Jones movie. I've heard about Raiders of the Lost Ark, so for that, I'd like to see it someday, but nobody should be surprised if the first Indy Jones film I see is the one that's just been released. It's kinda' sad, in a way, that I've never seen any Indiana Jones movie for the simple fact that I am a HUGE fan of Steven Spielberg.

The ending defintely was questable, but when we we're at the last ten minutes the power went off and everyone got a ticket to any show. smile.gif

Out of the two I've seen completly, I have to go with The Temple of Doom.

Yeah...the ending was when it started to go off the rails...sure. Sorry chief, but that movie went from awesome to suck in less than ten seconds...and it never got better.

That said, I voted Raiders, but Crusade's right up there. Really made it a close call.

I went with Last Crusade. I saw the new one when I visited a draft house theatre in Austin, Tx. Normally I'm pretty easily entertained once I get a few in me but the movie just got more and more rediculous as it went on.. honestly, I thought it was terrible.
