You can always Haste them with a Time Mage. Or you can go the route of stat boosting equipment. My Calculator now has Sprint Shoes and Thief Hat, and she gets along just fine. There are Secret Clothes too, but I don't know OTTOMH if Calculators can wear them.

Well, if you're anything like me, you have Ramza yell at them and try and get all the good stuff in one battle. So you don't have to deal with them after that. (Takes like 2700 points or so to get all the math skill stuff and damage split.)
Unless you throw tons of speed boosting stuff on them, their speed will always be rock bottom. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. If you mean making them faster for levelling their job up, ramzas yell is the way.
If you want to use them, you might wanna consider just using another class with their math skill, it works much better with a black / white mage. -------------------- All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Broccoli to die. |

Use whatever is possible to raise their speed. Theif Hat, Sprint Shoes, Secret Clothes, either cast Haste on them or if their female, give them a Setiemson, if present, have Ramza and Luso (if you're playing the PSP) Yell at them, even have their reaction be Speed Save and your weak attacks attack them. Personally, I prefer to have them use Sing/Dance when equiped with Gain JP Up/JP Boost, Move-Get Jp/Accure JP, and an accessory that increases their movement. Than I just have them Sing Nameless Song, or Dance Wiznaibus/Mincing Minuet while Moving back and forth.
-------------------- In order to find your oppenent's weakness, you must first learn their pattern. Once you know their pattern, you can build a counter strategy. |

Yeah I love my calc. Its a black mage with 22 magic power. Once its a black mage you won't have issues with the speed.
