Well... i play FFT a lot, and i don't go along with any alignment i've heard of... so tell me if the current team i'm playing with's a good choice or not

not too bad. but there are a few things i would change. teleport on a knight isnt the best of ideas. the knight has low base movement to begin with, and when using teleport, the success rate isnt very good at even MEDIUM distances. i would change to move+3.
im not too fond of the dancer setup either. i believe sprint shoes add haste?(please correct me if i am wrong on this) i dont see the point of having a dancer use haste. in my opinion, i dont think that a dancer really needs speed. could use the accessory spot to add a nice cloak, or a perfume perhaps. also, the shortcharge, once again, speed. Item command, kinda pointless. she wouldnt be able to throw the items, plus, if you have to use em, you must interrupt your dance. (the same for all skills, but at least you could add a more offensive one if the battle gets ugly) your team isnt too bad. but the speed, and movement, is very lacking. 2 things which can be the death of you before you can even use your summoner or before your knight gets in attack range. just a thought. hope this helps a little. ![]() This post has been edited by jacemm7283 on 4th June 2008 04:00 -------------------- "Life: The deepest cut that wilt not heal. wow... lol, i never really thought of the unneeded speed for the dancer... thank you for the reply ^^
Edit: i forgot to tell you that sprint shoes add +1 speed ![]() and training a knight to bard will be tricky... but i think it'll help more than teleport, though This post has been edited by Lucky_Clover on 4th June 2008 04:33 -------------------- "Carry us to the fountain of power..." |

I like it. I'd just tell you not to be afraid to raise the faith up a little, that way your white magic will be more successful within your team. Isn't two swords amazing?

With my experience in FFT, the best conclusion I've made is if the team you have is winning battles, racking up enemy casualties, and suffer little to no casualties of your own, then the team you got is great. I've never tried making Ramza a Bard, but you've inspired me to try something different on my next playthrough!

lol, i compared ramza's sing skills with a generic character's sing skills, and it seems ramza has more successes on allies with his songs than a normal bard... so i tried to raise him up as one
![]() (*Edit: i thought that ramza had more success rate from "Sing" than a normal bard, though it's just a supposition. Besides, i believe that bard's a fun class to play with ![]() This post has been edited by Lucky_Clover on 4th June 2008 20:59 -------------------- "Carry us to the fountain of power..." |

You already have a knight with punch arts and move mp up on your summoner. Why not short charge instead of half of mp?

true... by the way, i don't use math skill because, along with orlandu, it makes the game too easy -.-
Another thing... does M.atk. affect Elemental's dmg and success rate of abnormal status? This post has been edited by Lucky_Clover on 5th June 2008 11:42 -------------------- "Carry us to the fountain of power..." |

Quote (Lucky_Clover @ 5th June 2008 03:40) Another thing... does M.atk. affect Elemental's dmg and success rate of abnormal status? A Geomancer's Elemental damage is based on a formula involving both MA and PA. [(PA + 2) / 2] * MA As far as the success rate of any abnormal status is concerned, I believe the chances are static. Yes, a perusal of the BMG reveals a flat 20-25% chance for status effect activation. |

...bump? anyway, my internet was down for a reeeeally long time (some pricy wire burned up) but, in addition to this thread, i ask: What is the damage calculating formula for a dancer's Wiznaibus/Witch Hunt?

It's a Good Team to me. Balanced, but don't you think that using ramza 97 Braved is a loss for your team, having him as a Bard ? Generally Bard and Dancers are used for the third line, so they don't advance in battle, but generally have to run away, hide in places, and sing and dance till the battle is over. Other thing to do: Having a Setiemson. Every person i know who plays FFT, prefer Chantage to Setiemson. Well' I don't. Setiemson is useful because is an Accessory, and has the Same Effect of Excalibur: Always Haste. By this way, you can Equip Agrias a Chaos Blade in a continuous Haste status. Yes, you have 97 Braved Agrias, but at that point, perfection is perfection

This is how it is. Anyone can win the game if they use special this and double that, but like I think it was FabulousFreebird just said, if your winning, then its great.
My brother had this one party that he said sucked in story fights but did good in little fights. 2xBards 2xDancers and a Chocobo. The Bards had Black Magic, the Dancers had Ying/Yang Magic and the Chocobo was Red. He would set up, sometimes taking forever, by changing all the enemies into frogs, then he would just play random songs and have the dancers dance random non-damaging dances while Zippo the Chocobo ran around "eating" the frogs with "Chocobo Peck". It was a frog-eating party. Music, dancing, and all the frog's legs you could eat. Now that's not what power-players would call a good team, but it was really funny to watch the horror. -------------------- My Final Fantasy Tactics: The War Of The Lions Avatar The Brave Knight Name: Eirikir Lashius (Ramza) Role: Knight Age: 23 AA1: Arts of War AA2: Guts R: Counter S: Concentration M: Move +3 W: Durandal O: Reverie Shield H: Grand Helm B: Grand Armor A: Brigand's Gloves |
