Okay, a couple of nubly questions, first, which should i go with, Ragnarok esper or sword? Your walkthrough says to refer to strategies guide, but i do not see one, nor does it link one = /, second, Your esper guide lists Testper as an esper, is that just a bit of game data not implemented testers used? I'm doubting its attainable at all, just like to know.

Testper is a joke. It does not exist in the game. It's explained several times around the site, but everyone seems to need to have it explained to them.

Our walkthrough was referring to our own guide, encouraging you to look up the sword and look up the esper and decide for yourself. I like going for the sword, because the summon isn't very useful, it doesn't have a level bonus, and I can learn Ultima from the Paladin Shield. The sword, however, can be upgraded to the Illumina, which is one of the very best weapons in the game.

i realized that illumina could be gotten this way, but i liked knowing i had every esper on my roster, plus i can transform enemies extremely easily (4x experience with 2 exp.egg's!!WOOT!!)

um i dont want to rain on ur parade but i've tried repeatedly to gain 4x exp with two growth eggs cause i have 18 of em and it doesnt work it only gives u 2x

I used to get the Esper, but Illumina is a great sword that is really useful. It's especially good when one character has the Atma weapon and another has Illumina. Makes you very powerful.

it depends on if you are playing the gba version or not, because you can steal ragnaroks in that version, so pick the esper. plus, illumina is good, but atma ignores defense if i remember correctly...

Aujourdhui a commence avec toi.

i got the esper too. even though its impossible to get all the espers at one time, i still like having as many as possible. plus, it saved me a ton of time using paladin shield and ragnarok, so that all my characters learned ultima. atma got the job done for me, along with the genji gloves.

Hrmm, now im at another difficult decision, Should I go with Odin or Raiden? I personally thinking Odin, but I always could be missing something, personally don't find a lot of use for quick cept for Gem Box+Ultima+Quick=Pain till OOM

Odin does have a Speed level bonus, but I actually prefer Raiden's +2 strength. And Meteor isn't that great a spell, as it costs a lot of MP and isn't usually effective as using elemental magic. I usually upgrade to Raiden right away and wait until Crusader to learn Meteor, but some people keep Odin around a long time just for the Speed boost.

You can STEAL ragnaroks in the GBA??

And I think you should just go with Raiden. Quick is hecka useful, and you could always learn meteor through Crusader.

^Also, Cactaur has a speed bonus anyways. Unless, you want both for 2 characters to boost at the same time, or something.[GBA]

Odin or raiden also depends on whether it is GBA or SNES/PS! we talk about, because odin has a speed bonus and raiden a strength bonus in both, but in SNES, cactuar gives a larger speed bonus then odin, so i changed odin to raiden for that reason.

BTW: just remembered Exp.Egg doesnt stack...silly me, if it did i would be lvl 99 in no time flat!

Bah! See, another thing i did not know, I never did get the Crusader Esper my first time through, so i did not know Well, thx, I might get Raiden now, Personally, I don't often use much of the Level Bonuses, I try whenever its also convenient, but o well, ty for the response.

BTW, I play the SNES version (via emulator, Have PSX version....... somewhere)

You can't. Cactuar is only available in FF6 Advance.

hey Vexdefile, u remember when fighting the final bosses?

Well first u fight the two hands and the face and if u steal from them u get 3 elixers max,

next is the two bodies, tiger and machine, i think u get elixers and other good stuff.

then the third fight, the woman and face: steal from the woman to get atma and steal from the face to get ragnarok, or vise versa.

plus if u steal from kefka u get a mega-elixer

Btw, dont forget that also can equip weapons in a fight

definatley go with Raiden. i wouldn't wanna walk all the way back for no reason. plus meteor kinda sucks when ultima is available.

Also, up there, I put GBA next to the Cactuar, and sorry someone was confused.
So, yes, it's only for the Advance version.

I agree, but I would wait a while before changing him. You might as well have everyone learn Meteor. If not for its power, just for the heck of it.

I might wait a bit, and walking back is no problem with Mog+Charm Plus, Odin is one of my favorite summons in any game.

Not to rain on either of your parades but on ff6 advance you do get to keep the stuff u steal. After the credits, you can save your file and keep ultima and Ragnarok
