First time playing the game...
For the Death Penalty to increase in power, do you have to kill enemies with it equipped to Vincent, or any weapon can be equipped to Vincent ? Thanks |

Plus, I need to kill a lot of enemies very fast, any suggestion on where to train? I'm thinking Mideel since you the enemies are in groups of 3 or 4 and they give a decent amount of EXP / AP.
I have just updated my Slash All materia into Flash so it should help. So where would you train? |

I believe that it's based on how many enemies you kill with death penalty.
The best place to train is in the swamp-like area of the crater, provided you have enough elixers (w-item trick). As for finding as many enemies as possible, im not exactly sure where you would want to look. -------------------- Currently Playing : Final Fantasy V Most Recently Beat : Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Favorite Game : Final Fantasy X The newest CoNcast is up! Thanks
I just remembered, a good place for finding as many enemies as possible is in the Shinra Mansion with the pumpkins... |

oh THATS what the death penalty does. at first i thought it was good for nothing lol. what about that island with goblins on? wouldnt that be a good place to train?? or is the death penalty affected by more than just enemies killed, like maybe the strength of the enemies??

If I'm not mistaken, it's sheerly numbers, rather than stats, that are counted. Therefore, you could go to the forested area between Junon and Fort Condor and fight those strange little creatures with the large antennae - they appear in groups as large as five, and aren't too strong, making killing a large number quickly quite feasible.
I admit, I can't remember how much of the forest remains in the later stages of the game (the terrain changes, if memory serves), and there should be enough left to make this an option. |
