I'm kicking myself at the moment for buying FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus. Square sucks at making shooters, end of story.

This isn't a game per se, but one time I got the Suikoden 2 and Final Fantasy Tactics players guides at a garage sale for 50 cents apiece. I gave the Suikoden guide to my friend since he actually had the game(not knowing it was worth 50-some DOLLARS) and sold the Tactics guide on Ebay for a tidy profit.
At a different garage sale I got Secret of Mana for $3 And at the video store in my town I got Dragon Warrior (NES) complete (less the map) for $1.99 I'm a sucker for a deal, I guess. -------------------- No matter how hard I try, I just can't get worried about it! |

Bad Purchase - my PS3. What a waste of money that's turned out to be. I got it, beat Oblivion, then start playing my PS1 games again.

While not the worse purchase, I got King of Fighters 94 for the Wii in September. Now that I have the Collection, It's kinda worthless now.
Also got No More Heroes for 20 Dollars: Worth it. -------------------- Blah Blah Blah Tidal Wave Spam! |

Best purchase is probably the PS2, which is my gaming hub to this day. Game-wise it'd have to be Arc the Lad Collection, though -- the fourfer has eaten so many hours I can't even begin to count 'em.

There are a lot of best purchases. I'd have to say the most recent best purchase was Super Mario RPG which I got off craigslist earlier this year for $10. Amazing!
As for worst purchase, there is no debating this. I went to a local used game store about a month ago when my winter break started, and I bought Lagoon for $3. I never owned it before or had even seen anything about it, so I figured you can't go wrong. This is incorrect. Lagoon is, without a doubt, the worst game I have ever played in my entire life. It absolutely abysmal. Of course, since I now own the game, I have to have beaten it at least once (with 100% if it's an RPG), so this game tormented me for nearly an entire week. It is just so bad! I finally did it, and while I don't feel satisfied or proud at all, I am relieved I never have to play that wretched game again. Worst $3 I have ever spent. -------------------- Is PJ |

Worst purchases... Hmm...
Children of Mana. It was so boring and repetetive... I kept almost falling asleep through it. The artwork and character designs were wonderful though. Also, I bought a copy of 'every' FF game from a friend.. Which included three non working copies of Tactics, a horribly mutilated copy of FFIX, and FFVII, which was stolen a few weeks after I got it. I'm just not destined to ever get to beat that game. Best Purchase: The FYE near me had a 75% off GBA and Gamecube game sale.. I paid about $8 for Summon Night 2, which is a really fun, and cute, game. I also got a copy of Iceclimbers for about $2. I was made happy. Quote Children of Mana. It was so boring and repetetive... I kept almost falling asleep through it. I totally agree with you on that one. I litterally kept doing the same 4 dungeons over and over again and didnt know what to do. Worst 40$ i ever spent. As for a recent good purchase, ill have to say Shining Force II on sega genesis. Ive only played for like 2 hours so far, and id have to say that its awesome. One of the best RPG's ive played in a while. |

One of my best recent purchases was a used copy of Folklore for $11. It's an adventure/RPG with a neat little gimmick where you steal the spirit of an enemy (including bosses) and then use those spirits in battle against other enemies. The game is a lot of fun and was well worth the money.

Worst purchases? All those silly little games on my iPod video. I thought, "Hey, maybe if i'm bored, I can play it!" Problem is, when I play the game, I get even more bored, and ever since I got my new iPod, I still haven't put those games on it.. Very bad use of $15.
For a best purchase, I honestly can't say. All of the games that I loved on the SNES were bought by my siblings or parents since I was too little to comprehend the concept of money, and all the games I've bought recently are expensive (Call of Duty at 60 dollars, GH:WT at 100, WoW at who knows how many..), so I wouldn't say they were really "Good" purchases, even if the game was good. I'll have to wait for Blizzard to release all 3 Starcraft 2's for 20 dollars each before I can say I made a good purchase |

Worst buy is tied between Legend of Dragoon and Dirge of Cerberus. I'm leaning more towards DoC, since I spent twice as much on that, though...
Best is. Um. My collector's edition of XII? Not entirely sure. Maybe FFT:WotL or perhaps Dawn of Souls. Yeah, Dawn of Souls. For the amount of time I spent with that game (sooo many fun challenges possible), it was easily worth the twenty bucks. |
